Joe is amazing - his talent is inspiring and his professionalism is engaging. I found him on gigmasters, contacted him, after which he recommended I come listen to one of his gigs - and I was hooked! He agreed to play, and a year later, with only a week to go, he even accommodated extra requests without blinking an eye. Joe played the bridal procession at my wedding, and everyone has commented on how he set the romantic tone in the evening, as he continued to play the reception, bringing an elegant sophistication to the night. It was hard to hear the music end, but the compliments I've received since he played our wedding have not yet ended!

I planned my daughter's wedding from across the United States ( was in Los Angeles and the wedding was in CT) via the internet--- not knowing what the venue would be like, and most of all what caliber of contractors I was dealing with. I merely had visions in my head of what the celebration would be like. A wedding that would be memorable, romantic and elegant in its simplicity.
The venue - a popular and vintage place in CT, warm and cozy despite the winter,
The music - a sole musician - who would be able to set the ambience (I had in mind)to fruition.
I am so glad that I chose Joe Kiernan to play for my daughter's wedding. His music was a like a bow that tied up all the other elements together that created the wedding I had in mind.
His music was great and his demeanor and professionalism -impeccable.
Thanks, Joe!

Joe came through for me. I was in a pinch and time was running out to book a guitarist for my son's wedding (cocktail hour) I found Joe's name and website through Gigmasters. His fee was very affordable, especially compared to others listed on Gigmasters. Once I booked him, he contacted me via email and told me to call him with questions. He sounded very professional and I was convinced I had the right person for the wedding. Thirty minutes before the event, he showed up, dressed appropiately, and at the agreed upon time he gave us an hour of excellent background music for the occasion. I would definitely recommend him.

Joe showed up plenty early for the event, dressed very appropriately in a suit. He was good with the beforehand communication-- Very accommodating-- at least twice interrupted in the middle of a song by grandchildren deciding to make a speech-- nothing phased him. The music sounded great and very appropriate for the occasion. I am sure he is very capable of performing in a venue where his music is the center of attention, but he also had the appropriate touch for this background music role. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We hired Joe for our wedding ceremony and he did a terrific job. We asked him to learn several songs, inlcuding an original of mine, and he took everything in stride. He was also available to rehearse before the wedding and arrived several hours early to make sure everything was in order. He played beautifully and we would not hesitate to hire him again!
