"Eclectic" is the word most often used to describe the music of Betty Pattengale and Mike Harris. Their repertoire spans both time and genre, encompassing jazz, blues and contemporary music. There is obvious empathy between Betty and Mike as her heartfelt vocal performances and his sensitive accompaniments are interwoven to create an honest and unaffected musical experience that captures the essence of every song. They prove that when musicians enjoy what they do, the result is greater than the sum of its parts.

About Betty:
"I've been singing since the age of two, but, then who hasn't? My first theater gig was as an original member of the Los Angeles cast of Les Miserables at the Shubert Theater.

A vocal chameleon, I have been known to sing jazz, blues, folk, rock, and show tunes a cappella on a moving train and/or with various local bands, including talented guitarist Mike Harris with whom I recorded our CD "Have Voice Will Travel."

As soloist with the Grammy nominated L.A. Jazz Choir I performed at The Hague and Montreux Jazz Festivals in Europe and the Playboy Jazz Festival.

I have even improvised songs as a proud member of the notorious Ventura Improv Company."
