Since 2008, the Russ Wilcox Jazz Group has been providing high quality jazz that is suitable for any occasion. Whether you are looking for small, light jazz ensemble for your restaurant or a larger group for a concert or wedding reception, we can supply you with an ensemble that will accommodate your needs. The Russ Wilcox Jazz Group consists of Boston's most popular upcoming musicians who have studied at the New England Conservatory, Berklee, and Boston University. Our musicians have worked with many prestigious names in the Jazz community including Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Jerry Bergonzi, Eric Harland, Greg Abate, Alex Brown, and Jonathan Batiste.

The Russ Wilcox Jazz Group performs jazz and latin standards that were the cornerstone in the development of modern American music. We offer a variety of musical genres that will compliment any occasion. We can provide light jazz standards that will compliment any dining experience that will have your guests speaking highly of your event or restaurant for months to come! We can also offer a larger ensemble that specializes in bebop, post-bop, and modern jazz that will bring a new, young energy to your concert setting. Our musicians have had the opportunity to perform at many prestigious concert venues and festivals including the Monterey Next Generation of Jazz Festival, the Provincetown Jazz Festival, Somethin' Jazz Club (NYC), PAAM's Next Generation of Jazz Concert, the Lincoln Center, and the Cotuit Center for the Arts.

We offer ensembles that are suited for concert and private event settings. In fact, we specialize in providing light background music perfect for any cocktail or dining hour. We have performed at many restaurants in the area including: Avenue 1 at the Boston Hyatt (monthly residence in 2011), The New Seabury Country Club (weekly residence in summer of 2012), The Belfry Inn and Bistro, the Harvest Gallery Wine Bar and many others. We seek to provide music that will entertain your guests without interrupting their dining experience and conversation. We are also able to provide a larger ensemble that would be ideal to get your guests dancing at your reception and would ensure that they have a phenomenal time at your wedding. Our ensemble can be expanded to include vocals and additional horns. We are also able to offer the Russ Wilcox Big Band, a full 16 piece big band that would be perfect for any dance. This ensemble performs the standard repertoire of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and others but also has more modern pieces in its repertoire, which include hits from Chicago, Van Morrison and more.
