Roger Barbour Jazz Quartet Jazz Band from Pittsburgh, PA

* My name is Roger Barbour and I am the trumpet player and leader of the Roger Barbour Jazz Trio/Quartet . While vacationing in Paris France in 1994, and playing with French musicians in the clubs I was inspired upon returning home to create the Roger Barbour Jazz Trio/Quartet. Since that time we have played in just about all of the Jazz Venues in Pittsburgh as well as the Tri-State area. We performed music for the HIGHMARK INSURANCE COMPANY CHRISTMAS JAZZ IN THE LOBBY SERIES IN PITTSBURGH WEEKLY FROM THANKSGIVING UP TILL NEW YEARS EVE FOR 25 years prior to the pandemic. Dependable under contract we also specialize in playing music for WEDDING RECEPTION COCKTAIL HOURS. THE MOST RECENT BEING AT THE FAIRMONT HOTEL IN DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH Also we perform for several of the wine festivals in the Tri-State area such as TRAX FARMS WINE FESTIVAL- RED FOX WINERY CHRISTMAS PARTY- BLACK DOG ROARING TWENTIES PARTY- GIANT EAGLE WINE TASTING FUNCTION EVERY THIRD FRIDAY OF THE MONTH- AS WELL AS THE FORGE URBAN WINERY LATIN NIGHT. Also we have been hosting an open mike jam session every Thursday for over a year now at a place in Braddock Pa called, Portogallo/Peppers N'AT. WE ARE ALWAYS ON TIME, DRESS PROFESSIONALLY, and can dress up or down according to your requests. Instrumentation of the band is Trumpet, Piano, and drums and I do the vocals. We can also add a bass if needed. Depending on the occasion we some times stray from straight ahead jazz and do songs by Frank Sinatra ( Fly me to the Moon)- Louis Armstrong ( What a wonderful World) - Unforgettable ( Nat King Cole ) - I can't help falling in love with you ( Elvis Presley ) Also can throw in a few Motown tunes if needed ( My Girl ), ( Proud Mary ) ( At Last ) Etc
