The Jazzlanders is a fun, world class, professional band that was founded by Berklee's professors and alumni, who have been performing and recording with the giants of the music industry, such as Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Quincy Jones, John Hendricks, James Moody, Cassandra Wilson, Steve Gadd, Abraham Laboriel, Terri Lyne Carringron, Greg Osby, Marcus Miller, Artie Shaw just to name a few!
*In April 2011, the members of The Jazzlanders recorded an album with the Two Grammy Winner, latin/jazz star Dave Samuels.
*The Jazzlanders has been voted as a 2013 "Best of Weddings" Pick by The Knot Magazine and Website!
*The Jazzlanders has over 800 songs in the song list!
*The Jazzlanders is the only band that can learn any three songs just for your wedding free of charge, if you don't find them in our song list!
The Jazzlanders specializes in a variety of jazz music from timeless swing, bossa nova and samba standards (Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Diana Krall, Antonio Carlos Jobim) to latin/jazz, smooth jazz, blues and more.
The Jazzlanders can play soft background jazz or upbeat groovy, high energy music.
The Jazzlanders is also capable to convert to Motown, R&B, Funk, Top 40 and Klezmer/Hora band at your request(check out our JAZZ, DANCE, HORA/KLEZMER & WOLRD video and AUDIO samples!)
The band is expandable from one to ten musicians with any variety of instruments of your choice (piano, guitar, bass, drums, 2 vocalists, sax, trumpet, flute, violin/fiddle, trumpet and even accordion).
The Jazzlanders is perfect for weddings, ceremonies, cocktail receptions, small casual private or high-end corporate events where sophistication, style and elegance is a must. "The Jazzlanders were wonderful to work with from the very beginning! They are extremely professional, well-organized and took the time to thoughtfully reply to all our emails in a timely manner. On the day of, they were one of the vendors I worried about least. On a musical note, my now husband and I are both music geeks and I was a music major in college. We are very picky about the quality of music that we wanted performed at our wedding and wanted someone who not only could play excellently but could feel out the crowd in terms of tempo, dynamics, etc. The Jazzlanders were perfect!!! Every note was beautiful, in-tune, well-timed and oh so classy! THANK YOU!"
