Comprised of seasoned luminaries based in New York City, Prelude Productions offers a variety of ensemble sizes for all of your jazz needs. Solo, duo, trio, quartet or vocal groups can be tailored to your specific requests. Our musicians have performed world-wide with the greatest living jazz legends, and each holds a degree from institutions such as The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music and Berklee College of Music.

For programming, we work hard to provide variety within even basic genre choices. For example, with a set of music from the American Songbook, we will choose songs in an order that provides interest in tempo, feel, and even key centers so that listeners can feel a sense of movement, even on a very subtle level.

While each musician in Prelude Productions performs at the highest level of musicianship, we all understand that most often our role is secondary in a cocktail hour or corporate function. We are happy to be sensitive to volume and physical space issues, and we are readily aware that we are an addition to your event, not necessarily the main attraction.

Our goal at Prelude Productions is to provide you with the greatest sense of ease regarding your event music. With just a simple consultation, we can create a beautiful addition to any special day.
