Oh La La! featuring French chanteuse Marie Michèle is the perfect band to serve as either a soothing backdrop for an intimate evening with friends (soft acoustic jazz, chanson française, 30's and 40's swing, bossa-nova ) or a sultry soundtrack of classic Soul and Blues from the 50's and 60's.
Comprised of some of the top jazz and world musicians in the New York and New-England area, Oh La La! Sets itself apart from other bands in its stylistic versatility and ability to adapt to your specific taste, budget, volume and space limitations. In any configuration, ranging in size anywhere from duo to septet , the band retains its sense of elegance and class that guarantees your event's performance to feel timeless.
The band has an extensive repertoire in multiple genres, but are happy to fulfill any specific song request for your special evening. We can also try to emulate a particular recording that you love, or even accompany one of your party's guests in performing a prepared piece! Our venue had a vintage, elegant, and sophisticated aesthetic and they elevated it to a whole another level. They made an already gorgeous ambience and setting simply *magical!* Marie performed our three special requests so perfectly... I am amazed at her and her band's versatility to take any song and make it their own yet still keep its integrity. "Fabulous. Outstanding. Perfect. Marie Davy and her Oh La La band were simply great. The song selection was just right. It made the whole wedding -- from the ceremony to the last dance -- a big success. Our guests all complimented us for Oh La La. No request was too much. They played everything from Joe Cocker to Marvin Gaye to Jazz Standards and French love songs. Their range is phenomenal. As for being accomdating, dig this: they set up outside and played for the ceremony and then when the weather turned bad, they reset inside. No muss, no fuss. We got everything we paid for and then some. Oh, and Marie's voice is as sweet as honey."
