Maria Katindig-Dykes & Jimmie Dykes

Maria Katindig-Dykes and her Pianist/Arranger/Jimmie Dykes lead Jazz Ensembles from Duos (Piano/vocal) to 17 piece Big Bands.

They have performed internationally in Singapore (The resident Jazz Quartet at Hyatt's Nutmegs) and Manila (Silahis International Hotel Playboy Club). For four years they lived and performed in Hawaii; working on Oahu, The Big Island, and Kauai. Since returning to the mainland U.S. they have played numerous clubs including the classic Silver Screen Jazz Club in Los Angeles. In the Palm Springs area they have been booked for special events at all the major hotels and have played numerous country clubs including: Traditions Country Club, Desert Horizon Country Club, Desert Island Country Club and Tamarisk Country Club. Although they most frequently work as a quartet (vocal, piano, bass and drums), their combo arrangements go up to a 7 piece group (especially good for swing dance music).
If you really want a big bang there's their 17 piece “Real Big Band”: a screaming orchestra featuring Maria's vocals and Jimmie's arrangements.

These Band performances are usually in concert setting but they are available for dancing.
