Paddy's Pig

Formed at the curly-tailed end of the twentieth century, southern California-based Paddy's Pig performs lively, acoustic renditions of traditional and pseudo-traditional Irish and Celtic music. Their repertoire includes songs, reels, jigs, ballads and drinking and rebel songs.

Lead vocalist, Missy Gibson with her striking and distinctive vocals, is a feisty and fun lass who never lets an audience down. Other members include Mike Flanagan on mandolin, vocals and penny whistle, Marty Beal on Guitar and Damon Pippitone on drums and percussion. Equally at home playing barn-burners like "The Blacksmith" and the Pogues' "Sally MacLennane", heart-wrenching ballads such as "He Fades Away" and "She Moved Through the Fair", or classic tunes like "Black Velvet Band" and "Whiskey in the Jar", Paddy's Pig never fails to get the audience involved, occasionally leaving the stage to do so, blurring the line between audience and performer.
