For ten years, Victor McMullan of County Derry and the band Exorna have been entertaining Midwestern audiences with music that is authentic and down to earth, singing songs loaded with humor and sentimentality, fiddling tunes Irish dancers can dance to, and doing it all on traditional instruments. Victor and his crew are keeping alive a truly vanishing art form, and have practiced their craft at pubs, festivals, wakes, public television, and everywhere in between!

What is an Exorna show like? When Victor was growing up in Northern Ireland, the pubs were a place where you made your own entertainment, and that usually meant singing together. Irish music was not something on a pedestal to be admired from a distance; it was something you did, not something you watched. Expect lots of opportunities to sing and clap along to these songs. Also, if you have trained Irish dancers about, bring them up to the stage; we've got loads of experience playing jigs, reels, hornpipes, and the like. If you're lucky enough to be near Springfield, Illinois, you might catch us performing with "the Exorna Dancers" of Ogilvy's dance studio!

• They were the BEST!!! Gracious guys who are very entertaining and really kicked our celebration off in fine style. You could see our guests tapping their feet at the start of Exorna playing and singing their music. Many people came up to me and asked if we could get them to come back later this year, and as well for other events around the eastern side of Iowa. This was money well spent, and I would recommend, as would everyone at this event would follow suit, booking Exorna for any occassion They were very accommodating and worked around our schedule.
