Booking Entertainment Through GigMasters

I'm ready to hire an entertainer or vendor. What do I do?
The first thing we recommend you do is to email or telephone the entertainer or vendor you want to hire. Make sure they are available for your event on the specified day and time. Also make sure that you've both agreed upon a price!
How do I book the member on GigMasters?
Booking a member on GigMasters couldn’t be easier. Login to your Control Panel and you’ll see your upcoming event(s) at the top of the page. There will be a big red “book now” button next to each member that provided you a quote. Click the “book now” button for the member you would like to book and follow the instructions. Click here if you don’t remember your username or password.
Does GigMasters provide contracts?
GigMasters does provide optional contracts for you and your hired member. If you are interested, please ask your entertainer or vendor to generate a contract on your behalf.

GigMasters Booking Fee

What benefits do I get after I've paid the 5% Booking Fee?
It's free to search for entertainment on GigMasters. There’s a small of fee of 5% ($20 minimum) for booking your entertainment with GigMasters but we think you’ll agree that the service and peace of mind you get with GigMasters is well worth it. Booking through GigMasters provides you with our premiere customer support services, optional online deposit and balance pay (with Payment Guarantee) and most importantly - you're protected by our client feedback system which will hold your entertainer accountable not only during the actual event, but in the important time leading up to your event, for matters such as communications, special requests, and other crucial logistics. While we're always confident that all of our entertainers perform well, historically those entertainers who've been booked through GigMasters and have operated under our client feedback system, have been even more motivated to give the absolute best performance.
Is the Booking Fee refundable?
Booking fees are refundable. If the entertainer does not end up performing at your event, the booking fee will be refunded to you. Booking fee refund requests must be filed with Gigmasters no later than 30-days after the event date in order for you to receive a booking fee refund.
Can I pay the booking fee on the GigMasters website?

Yes, you can pay online or offline. If you wish to pay the booking fee online, login to your Control Panel.* If you haven’t already booked a member, click the red “book now” button next to the member you would like to book and follow all the payment instructions. If the member is already booked and a payment is due, click the green “pay now” button and follow the instructions.

If I hire a member who pays the 5% booking fee on my behalf, am I still entitled to the same benefits?
Yes, you will enjoy the same benefits which include premiere customer support services, the ability to pay your deposit and/or balance online through GigMasters (with Payment Guarantee), and the ability to leave feedback about the entertainer or vendor you've hired after your event has taken place.

Online Deposits

The member has asked me for a non-refundable deposit? Should I pay it?
Deposits, whether refundable or non-refundable, are standard procedure for securing live entertainment. As long as you have a signed contract which clearly states the terms and conditions of your agreement, it is OK to pay a deposit to the member.
Can I pay a deposit and/or balance on the GigMasters website?

Yes, absolutely! If you and your entertainer or vendor agree that you’ll be paying online, login to your Control Panel* to get started. If you haven’t already completed a booking, click the red “book now” button next to the member you selected and follow all the payment instructions. If the member is already booked and a payment is due, click the green “pay now” button and follow the instructions.
