1. What is Twitter?
Twitter is a service that more and more companies are using as a way to give brief, frequent updates to customers and others who are interested. It's pretty simple - once per day we write a one or two sentence update - something that we feel is noteworthy - for example a milestone that we have reached as a company, an unusual or noteworthy performer who has registered, or even to announce an employee promotion.

There are two reasons why we make daily updates through Twitter rather than on our own site:
1) For search engine optimization reasons, having an active Twitter presence will help drive more traffic back to GigMasters.
2) Twitter has a whole mechanism already built to allow us to make the daily updates quickly and easily and for customers to 'follow' those updates in a number of different ways (from the web, from mobile devices, etc)
