1. I'm ready to hire a performer/group. What do I do?
The first thing we recommend you do is to email or telephone the performer/group you want to hire. Make sure they are available for your event on the specified day and time. Also make sure that you've both agreed upon a price!
^ Back to Top2. How do I book the performer through Gigmasters?
Log into your Gigmasters Control Panel. Then go to the 'Your Events' section. Then click the "Book Now" button which corresponds to the performer you've hired. Then proceed to the next page and follow the instructions.
^ Back to Top3. Does Gigmasters provide contracts?
Gigmasters does not provide contracts, however we highly recommend that you ask the performer you've hired for a contract. This will help protect you as well as the performer.
^ Back to Top4. The performer has asked me for a non-refundable deposit? Should I pay it?
Deposits, whether refundable or non-refundable, are standard procedure for securing live entertainment. As long as you have a signed contract which clearly states the terms and conditions of your agreement, it is OK to pay a deposit to the performer.
^ Back to Top5. Can I pay my deposit online, through the GigMasters website?
Some of our performers accept online deposits through GigMasters, and some do not. If the performer you've hired does accept online deposits (ask and they will tell you), then you can place your deposit through Gigmasters. Just log into your Control Panel, go to the 'Your Account Information' section, and click on the button that says "Modify Credit/Debit Card Information". Then on the next page you can enter your payment information. Once you've booked the performer, we'll process your deposit and forward it to the performer you've hired. There is no charge for this optional service. The maximum deposit amount is $1,000 USD. Our deposit feature is only to be used so that you can pay your deposit. It is not to be used to pay final balance payments.
^ Back to Top6. What benefits do I get after I've paid the 5% Booking Fee?
GigMasters is free for you to search and contact our entertainers. If you book entertainment through GigMasters, we charge a 5% (USD $20 minimum) booking fee. Booking through GigMasters provides you with our premiere customer support services, optional online deposit pay (with Deposit Guarantee) and most importantly - you're protected by our client feedback system which will hold your entertainer accountable not only during the actual event, but in the important time leading up to your event, for matters such as communications, special requests, and other crucial logistics. While we're always confident that all of our entertainers perform well, historically those entertainers who've been booked through GigMasters and have operated under our client feedback system, have been even more motivated to give the absolute best performance.
^ Back to Top7. Is the Booking Fee refundable?
Booking fees are refundable. If the entertainer does not end up performing at your event, the booking fee will be refunded to you. Booking fee refund requests must be filed with Gigmasters no later than 30-days after the event date in order for you to receive a booking fee refund.

Yes, you can pay online or offline. We provide you with all payment instructions when you confirm a booking in your Gigmasters Control Panel. You can pay it at the same time you pay your deposit, or you can pay it separately. If you wish to pay the booking fee online, please log into your control panel located at http://www.gigmasters.com/login.aspx. Scroll down to the 'Your Events' section. Look for a button that says either 'Book Now' or 'Online Payment'.

Yes, you will enjoy the same benefits which include premiere customer support services, the ability to pay your deposit online through GigMasters (with Deposit Guarantee), and the ability to leave feedback about the entertainer you've hired after your event has taken place.
