1. How does GigMasters contact me for gigs?

When a GigMasters client is interested in hiring you, he or she fills out a "Gig Request" form and submits it to GigMasters. We then email this form to you. The subject of the email you receive will be "Alert - Gig Available".

2. How long does GigMasters wait before notifying me about a gig?

The request is first run through some preliminary security checks, if it passes we email you less than 10 minutes after a client has submitted the "Gig Request" form to GigMasters. If it does not pass, we will hold the lead until a GigMasters Representative reviews it.

3. What if I'm on the road and do not have access to email?

You can still check for new gig leads. Simply find a computer with Internet access and log into your GigMasters Control Panel. Then go to the 'Your Leads' section.

4. What sort of information does the "Gig Request" form contain?

We tell you the date, time, location, the type of entertainment that is needed, and other pertinent information about the event.

5. Sometimes I receive a Gig Request form up to 12 hours after the client submitted it to GigMasters. Why?

Some of our clients ask GigMasters to attach additional suitable groups/performers to their Gig Requests. When this happens, we add you and other groups/performers, but sometimes it can take up to 12 hours depending on what time of day the client submitted the Gig Request form to us.

7. I've not been receiving Gig-Alert emails from GigMasters, but I'm seeing them when I log into my Control Panel. Why?

Either your primary email address is not valid, or you have spam protection software which is preventing our emails from making it through to you. The email address our gig alerts come from is booking@gigmasters.com. Please add this to your e-mail address book. If you are still not receiving gig alerts, contact your ISP and ask them to whitelist booking@gigmasters.com.

8. I've been receiving duplicate 'Gig Alert' emails from GigMasters. Why?

You have an alternate email address on file with us, and we send your Gig Alert emails to both your primary email address and your alternate email address.

9. Sometimes I get contacted by the same client several times. Why?

We do our best to prevent and discourage clients from filling out multiple Gig Request forms which contact the same performers. Occasionally, however, clients will accidentally contact you more than once.

11. How do I prevent from repeatedly getting contacted for gigs on a date that I am already booked?

You may 'black-out' days on your GigMasters Calendar. By blacking out a date, you will not get contacted for gigs that take place on that date. To black out a date, please take the following steps:

1) Log into your control panel

2) Scroll down to the 'Your Gig Calendar' section

3) Click the button that says 'Modify/Delete Gig'

4) On the next page, select the date of the event and click the 'Submit' button

5) On the next page, check the box that says 'Blackout Date (not available for gigs that day)' and click the 'Modify' button.

Please note: for the time being, you can only black out the entire day, but not part of a day.

12. How can I have my gig alerts sent to my cell phone?

Most cell phones now have an email address associated with them. This allows you to receive text messages. Therefore, to have gig alerts sent to your cell phone, you need to contact your cell phone carrier and ask them what your cell phone's email address is. Once you have that, you can list it as your alternate email address in your Gigmasters profile. To do this, please take the following steps:

1. Log securely into your control panel.

2. Under the section titled 'Membership Information, click the button that says 'Modify Profile'.

3. On the next page, scroll down to the field that says 'Alternate E-mail:'. This is where you can enter your cell phone email address.

4. Click the 'Continue' button at the bottom of the page. 5. On the next page, click the 'Update' button.

1. Log securely into your Control Panel.

2. Click the button that says 'Modify Profile'.

3. On the next page, scroll down to where it says "Do you want us to auto-add you to Gig Alerts when the client has authorized it?". Make sure you have 'Yes' checked off.
