Makani E made our school picnic event very special. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere they created. Rozz even danced for us and made the children and their parents dance as well. Thank you for being perfect and adapting to the mixed crowd. Beautiful sound and presentation!

We were 100% satisfied with Makani E's performance! Makani E (Jim & Rozz) arrived 2 hours early for our birthday & retirement party. They took the time to meet our friends & family and visit. Arriving early made the preparation relaxing. They set up equipment & completed sound checks with time to spare. Rozz taught about 20 of the ladies a popular hula dance, which got everybody involved in the fun. Their performance was very professional & enjoyable. Many guests commented how great the band was & how much life they added to the celebration. I would highly recommend this band & hope we get the chance to hear them again!

Their music is varied and just wonderful. They seemed to read the audience perfectly and suited the music to the tempo of the crowd (pleasing even the very, very young and the very, very old). They achieved the impossible task of being very entertaining while somehow not preventing people from mingling and talking. They literally made the party. Beautiful music from a talented and highly professional duo.

Makani E was absolutely perfect for our event! They were so friendly, and polite, they made everyone feel very relaxed and comfortable. The music was beautiful. My dad loves Iz, and they played his music great! They connected with everyone at the party, and I believe every guest went up to talk to them after their performance. They really cared about making the event special for my parents. I can't thank them enough for making the day so memorable. They took requests, and she performed a beautiful hula as a gift to my parents. They were truly a blessing!

Roz and Jim are great. If you want a true Hawaiian experience-- hire them. Our crowd loved them. We had primarily a senior citizen crowd and they accommodated them nicely. We will probably book them on a regular basis. Not only were they musically competent but their Hawaiian warmth really came out!

Our group loved Makani E! They interacted with everyone and made us all feel very special. You can tell that they enjoy what they do. We even made requests for songs that we heard in Hawaii and they were able to play them. Very enjoyable. We would recommend them in a second! Thanks Makani E!

Simply put, Makani was Fantastic! The event was a smaller family "luau" to celebrate an important anniversary. The performance was outstanding, with one of the guests of honor commenting that it took him back to all of his earlier years in Hawai'i. Makanai E worked the gathering with just the right touch, staying connected but not requiring "center stage." And, they learned a special song just for the event. They are just nice people, great to work with and wonderful performers. They brought a huge dose of Aloha to our door-step!

Makani E performed at a 60th birthday Luau for my mother and they were wonderful. They handled themselves very professionally and put on a wonderful show. They even did a little improve hula dancing as a surprise for my mother. I would definitely recommend them and use them for future parties!

All comments were extremely positive! They were nothing but accommodating as we changed the original schedule. They were very understanding when we had a miscommunication about who was supposed to pay them. They waited while we sorted it out. We would definitely recommend them! Rozz and Jim did an absolute wonderful job entertaining our guests at our Hawaii Party. They sing beautifully together and Rozz is a very talented Hula performer and teacher as well. While Jim sang “Hukilau”, Rozz had approximately 30 of my guests (including kids) on their feet dancing the Hula. It was amazing! Everyone had a great time. The feedback from friends afterward was that it was the best party ever. Mahalo to Rozz and Jim for making our event so memorable.

We had a wonderful time with Roz and Jim for our small family gathering. They did an acoustic-style set. It was fun, relaxing, full of wonderful harmonies and even romantic songs for slow-dancing. They were both professional but also super friendly and relaxed, fun to chat with during breaks.
