*KALEO's BIO: Kaleo began performing in 1997, and in 2007 formed a Hawaiian band, “Kaleo” who has been delighting listeners with beautiful island music at their many live shows where they bring the classic Waikiki-style Hawaiian floor show to life with live hula, stellar musicianship, audience participation and, most importantly, real Aloha!
Kaleo is Kama'aina (island born) and raised on Kaua'i. Kaleo's great-grandmother's great-grandfather was Kaumuali'i, Kauai's last King and he is a decedent of George Na'ea, father of Hawaii's Queen Emma Na'ea Rooke! Kaleo learned about island history, and the ways and spirit of ALOHA from his "tutu" ("grandmother" in Hawaiian), Kamanao Na'ea who was a guitarist, singer and narrator at the Kodak Hula Show in Waikiki for two decades, she taught Kaleo to play and sing Hawaiian music from the day he was born. Kaleo moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 where he studied with many guitar masters over the next 20 years. Kaleo is also a massage therapist, he came from a long line of Kahuna’s, learning the ways of huna (ancient Hawaiian wisdom) from his Kahuna relatives on Kauai.
*ALBUM: On The Beach with Kaleo – Hawaiian Luau Music! “Kaleo’s latest CD will transport you to the islands with his 5-Piece String Band featuring the Hawaiian Steel Guitar's magical slides and glides, the Ukulele strumming sweetly, and the upright Bass a swingin', its a pupu platter of island sing and swing and the perfect soundtrack for your next Luau. These hapa-haole classics range from touchingly sweet to gregarious and humorous and will set your toes tapping and your hips swaying as you are serenaded to tropical paradise!”
*ALBUM: Kaua’i Beauty – Solo Traditional Hawaiian Guitar & Vocals
"Kaleo's music reaches into your soul and allows you to experience Hawaiian music through the expertise of his style in traditional, and kiho'alu (slack key) guitar. His unique vocal style is brought to the forefront the difficult style of ha'i (falsetto) singing. The music will surprise and delight you with the different textures, harmony, and depth of character. His traditional Hawaiian songs tell stories of love for the land, the flowers, and the people of the islands. They also speak of ancient Hawaiian legends and generate a positive, magical feeling in one's heart and mind, as they define the spirit of Hawaiian culture and the physical majesty of the islands of Aloha."

Feedback
- Kaleo and his steel guitarist were the musicians for our barefoot beach wedding in Santa Barbara, CA. Kaleo blew the Conch Shell as I came to the edge of the sand, and to hear him play Ize's "Somewhere over the Rainbow" as my daughter walked me down the sand aisle took my breath away. We loved the Hawaiian Wedding Song during our ceremony, and "Honeymoon Hotel" for our recessional was perfect - fun and happy go-lucky! He played so many of our favorite Hawaiian songs during the cocktail hour including Little Grass Shack which Bill's Dad always sang after his days at the Royal Hawaiian in the '40s. Kaleo made our wedding day!

- Kaleo is truly a kind soul, and an outstanding musician! He even let my husband play the ukulele with him on a few songs. I would highly recommend Kaleo for your event, as he is excellent on his own or with a band. He showed up early, and accommodated our needs. We also listen to his CD all the time, as it is very peaceful music that will take you back to the islands! Thanks Kaleo! -- Suzie S, Laguna Beach, CA, 11/1/2008
- Kaleo Naea was wonderful! He was professional, talented, and helped us achieve the wedding we had been dreaming of. All of our guests loved his music as well, and we are still receiving compliments on how great he was! Thank you so much for everything! You have such a beautiful talent, and we will be forever grateful!

- I was thoroughly pleased with Kaleo. He made our birthday party unique and special. We frequent Hawaii and Kaleo was as talented as any entertainer we have seen on the islands. -- Pamela D, Monrovia, CA, 8/9/2008
- Kaleo was extremely easy to work with and was very accommodating with my special requests. We would certainly hire him again should the opportunity arise. Thank you so much for helping to make my brother's wedding an occasion to remember. Your music and relaxed personality helped set the tone for the whole day. -- Lisa F, Coronado, CA, 7/6/2008
- Having Kaleo play at our event was a truely memorable and unique treat. Kaleo's music and spirit helped set the perfect warmth and ambiance for the evening. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive. We highly recommend Kaleo as a most special artist at your next event whatever it may be.
