Harpist Renee Wilson has over 25 years of experience playing freelance jobs in the Chicago area, and has posted online resources that will make adding music to your event easy. Renee's repertoire includes classical mainstays (Claire de Lune, Canon in D), an extensive list of contemporary favorites (A Thousand Years, Here Comes the Sun, Perfect), and even a list of Bollywood favorites! Special requests can generally be accommodated, and clients use her YouTube channel and repertoire lists to put together the perfect musical choices for their event. Renee's response time is fast, so you'll have answers to your questions right away.
Originally from the Chicago area, Renee studied with Mary Jo Green (second harp Lyric Opera) before earning her Master of Music Performance with Mary Beckman at the University of Northern Iowa. Renee has been the Principal Harpist in the South Bend Symphony since 1990, and has been acting Principal Harp for the Illinois Philharmonic since 2018. Renee lives in the Morgan Park neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, and works throughout the Chicago Metro region and Northwest Indiana.
