About
The angelic strains of the Celtic harp brings a romantic and elegant touch to your wedding day or other special occasions. I have over 15 years of experience playing weddings, memorials, showers, holiday parties, history re-enactment events, and at concert venues with the Triskela Harp Trio.
Although I've been a performer all my life (a graduate of SF State's Theater Arts program), I took up the lever harp in 1993 because of my special fondness for the music of Ireland and Scotland, as well as world folk and early music. Initially, the harp was just an accompaniment for my singing, but quickly became a passion in its own right. In addition to playing with Triskela, I routinely play with other instrumentalists, including guitar, violin, cello, recorder and flute.

"Performance was for my mother's memorial. Shawna was gracious and accomidating with excellent communication. She went out of her way to change her recording schedule to help us and to play all the works we wanted. Her playing added sensitvity to the occasion and was admired by those present. She was reasonable about money and not demanding in any way about conditions. Most of all she has wondeeful talent. We would strongly recommend her. "

She arrived on time, set up and started playing as planned, played BEAUTIFUL music at a perfect noise level -- we could hear each piece, yet could chat among ourselves easily (it was a bridal shower, involving some guests who hadn't seen each other in some time, etc.).
