Familiar with a multitude of genres, harpist Hillary Schefter has been adding that special touch of class to events in Colorado for over a dozen years. Hillary is available for weddings, corporate events, private parties, funerals and any event looking for the distinguished professional touch provided by the harp.

A native of Colorado, Hillary has studied and performed at various festivals around Colorado including the Aspen Music Festival and School where she studied with Nancy Allen, the principal harpist of the New York Philharmonic. She has also performed as a soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra and Longmont Symphony, and has performed with the Colorado Music Festival and Emerald City Opera in Steamboat Springs.

Hillary is a professionally trained freelance musician who received her masters in harp performance from the Eastman School of Music under Kathleen Bride and has appeared in the last year with the National Repertory Orchestra, Boulder's Mahlerfest, the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra, and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to her professional gigs, Hillary volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospital and Rose Medical Center, both in downtown Denver, playing harp for the Neonatal Intensive Care Units. (Hillary is a "graduate" of the NICU of St. Joseph's Hospital)

Hillary was also recently offered the position of Adjunct Professor of Harp for the 2012-2013 academic year at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY. She will be teaching private students and performing with the University Symphony.
