DESCRIPTION:
We are an acoustic duo with an acoustic guitar and electric bass. Our lead vocalist Michele is very dynamic, with a sound similar to Linda Ronstadt. Her guitar style is also very exciting and dynamic. Kathy is on electric bass and harmony vocals. We do really up-tempo rocking songs as well as slow beautiful ballads. We do a combination of originals and covers (Beatles, Karen Carpenter, Joni Mitchell, etc.) We have our own PA. In the past we have opened for Townes Van Zandt, Steve Fromholz, and Crosby , Stills, and Nash. We have played at Poor David's Pub and many other clubs in the metroplex."As a songwriter Ms. Zabel (Wismer)displays both a novelist's eye for striking detail and a poet's gift for evocative language. She writes love songs as if no one had ever done so before, her observations and confessions ringing with a sense of discovery and revelation that can be startling." – The Dallas Morning News "Michele Zabel(Wismer)…conveys romantic love in all of its myriad obsessions and contradictions with an impassioned clarity." – The Dallas Observer We are consistently within the top 40 indie acts on the My Space Texas music charts in the acoustic, Americana, and folk-rock categories. We are currently producing a CD to be released in August 2008. This CD is eagerly anticipated by fans all over the U.S. and the U.K., and is expected to receive widespread radio airplay.
