DESCRIPTION:
Avalon Nine plays a fun, eclectic mix of folk rock, soft rock,
retro & Americana with guitars, vocals, acoustic percussion and the occasional harmonica. Their song list reads like a "Who's Who in North American songwriters," featuring songs by Neil Young, Van Morrison, Gillian Welch, Steve Earle and Joni Mitchell. Upbeat favorites from the '60s, '70s, '80s and forward includes the Beatles, REM, The Who, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, and Bob Dylan as well as acoustic arrangements of current artists: Dido, Green Day, Keith Urban, and Cake. The duo performs at a variety of Ohio venues, from restaurants and private parties to festivals, and donates at least one performance a month to environmental, animal welfare, arts, and community non-profit organization. Additional charge for holidays and travel. For most venues, Avalon Nine uses a BOSE sound system. The sound quality is crystal clear at low volumes from the front row to the back wall. From intimate venues to ballrooms and festivals, the sound distributes evenly without distortion. We call it "invisible sound" because all you see is one small column -- no bulky amps. Best of all, listeners can easily carry on a conversation without raising their voices or straining to hear.
