Gregg Parker / Songster CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR SUNDAYS in JULY and AUGUST 2008, SATURDAY, JULY 19th, 2008, SATURDAY, AUGUST 9th, 2008, SATURDAY, AUGUST 16th, 2008, SATURDAY, AUGUST 23rd, 2008 and SATURDAY, AUGUST 30th, 2008 is a full-time, solo acoustic guitarist / singer from the New Jersey Shore area who really knows how to work a crowd. One recent NJ newspaper writeup says, "...This guy could teach a masters class on the art of solo performing!" DUOS, TRIOS and BANDS also available! House parties, cocktail hours, dinner evenings, graduation parties, birthday parties, outdoor barbecues, pool parties, vacation getaways, rehearsal dinners, private serenades.... WHATEVER!! CURRENTLY ACCEPTING WEEKNIGHT, WEEKEND and AFTERNOON ENGAGEMENTS THROUGHOUT 2008. One of New Jersey's most well-liked and prolific entertainers, Gregg specializes in popular songs from the late 60's thru early 80's ( think: "classic rock" / "folk rock" ), and is equally at home at YOUR private house party as he is on a concert stage. Hosting a house party or a gathering of friends and family at a favorite restaurant? Rehearsal dinner or Wedding Cocktail Hour? Or, maybe a private serenade for your very special "someone"? CURRENTLY BOOKING PRIVATE PARTIES, WEDDINGS, SERENADES, HOUSE PARTIES, CORPORATE & PRIVATE EVENTS for ENTIRE 2008 SEASON. SATURDAYS ARE GOING QUICKLY!! WEEKDAYS AVAILABLE for CAFES, RESTAURANTS, COUNTRY CLUBS and OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS. Whether alone or in various band combinations ( duos, trio or band ), he captures audiences with stunning vocal interpretations of popular singer/songwriters (Harry Chapin, Jimmy Buffett, Cat Stevens, Eric Clapton, Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, Jim Croce, John Fogerty, Neil Young, Elton John, Paul Simon, and more). A true 'straight -up' player, Gregg's percussive style of guitar lends itself to a full-sounding accompaniment without the use of pre-recorded tracks. When a larger or fuller sound is required ( and the budget allows ), Gregg simply 'brings on the band'. Available anytime/anywhere - afternoons or evenings, Gregg is best known for delivering 'songs people know and love', much like a really good FM station. Always finding the appropriate volume for the event, longer sets and fewer 'breaks' are his 'stock-in-trade'; and his well-crafted renditions of Harry Chapin's brand of story-songs ( Harry was his hero ) are a special delight. Seldom working from a 'set list', YOUR show is unique and different from any other; Gregg works at performing what YOU want to hear - after all, it's YOUR party and YOU are the customer.... An engaging, charismatic performer who must be seen and heard to be appreciated, Gregg Parker does not accept an engagement unless he is certain that he is exactly what you are looking for; hire him once - you'll want him back again and again....

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
I hired Gregg Parker through Gigmasters after having a friend recommend him to me for my son, Shaun's christening celebration. I never thought that I would get a performer of such high caliber for the price he asked. Completely professional and absolutely the MOST talented local performer I have ever seen. Gregg started out mellow, but when asked to "kick it up" a bit, he proceeded to rock our group for almost two full hours before taking a break (the ONLY one he took, by the way). The only thing I regret is that I didn't book the hall for a longer period - we would have liked to keep him another hour or two. Take my advice - BOOK HIM FOR YOUR EVENT TODAY!!

This is the 2nd time I've booked Gregg Parker for our country club, and he was even better than last year! The families in attendance enthusiastically rewarded his efforts with round after round of solid applause - an unusually strong reaction from what is usually a reserved group. Gregg treated our members to hit song after hit song -and several "mini - tributes" to popular performers. The energy going back and forth between performer and audience was almost visible, and we will definitely be bringing Gregg back for more at Talamore! Thank you, Gregg - you made this a most memorable Fathers' Day event for all of us! Susie Christie / Talamore Country Club

made sure that I was agreeable to everything that he did. I would
surely book him again, and would recommend him to others.

Gregg performed for our Elks Club members Friday night and all I can say is WOW! He kept their toes tapping all night and I have already hired him for another function this summer. We had a typically mixed group ( 25 - 75 ) age wise, and Gregg semed to have something for everybody, and everyone wanted to know when we might get him back. And he also told me he could bring along a band if we should ever have the need - I think I feel a dance coming on. Very professional - thanks a lot Gregg, you were a delight!

Gregg did a phenomenal job of entertaining our guests at my daughter's Sweet Sixteen Surprise Party, most of whom are aspiring fellow-musicians at the Wilmington (Delaware) School of Rock. Gregg's talent is first-rate and his song repertoire very extensive. His song selections were outstanding.
What resonates in Gregg's delivery is his love of the music; it's clear to everyone he really enjoys what he's doing. Instrumentally and vocally, Gregg delivers a very high quality brand of musical entertainment. Within 48 hours of his performance for us, I've already recommended him enthusiastically with confidence to a large number of close friends and associates.

I hired Gregg Parker for my sisters, Pamela's birthday party after having heard him perfrom at a friend's house party in Medford, NJ back in February. The party was held in the Wine Room of Cherry Hill and Gregg took full advantage of the room's wonderful acoustics to put on one heckuva good show! He fielded requests from many of our friends and guests, and was definitely the "musical glue" he promised he would be - he held the party together from beginning to end! Bravo, Gigmasters - Bravo, Gregg!! We'll see you again - I promise!

We had a beautiful day and Gregg provided the perfect music for our annual Strawberry Festival. A little folk, a little country, some blues, a little light rock, some children's songs.... just right for the family type audience / patrons we bring in. He performed practically all afternoon, and was especially attentive to the parents with younger children, even chatting with some of them from the stage. Gregg is extremely personable, and obviously performs as a true labor of love. Excellent voice, great guitarist and outstanding song selections - we couldn't ask for more from an entertainer. He will definitely be back here at Johnson's Corner Farm - and soon!

I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop for my wife's surprise 50th birthday party. I hired Gregg after seeing how much my wife enjoyed his performance at another friends' party earlier this year. ALL of our guests and friends were commenting about his voice, guitar style, and how he seemed to just know what to play and when. I know that at least two of my friends have already booked him for their parties, before my wife's was even over! You can't go wrong having Gregg entertain your group - we'll DEFINITELY be having him back, and soon! Thanks Gregg, from both of us!! Mark and Beth

I hired Gregg for my wife's 30th birthday party. We were sort of unsure about getting someone off the internet that we had never met before but after talking to Gregg on the phone a couple of times and hearing his music online we took the chance. And I'm glad we did. My wife and I along with all of our guests were extremely pleased with Gregg. He was very professional, he came early to set up & played some really great music. When it was time for him to pack it all up we asked him if he would play an extra hour for us to keep the party going a little longer and he had no problems with that. We will definitley be using him again in the future. Thanks for everything.

Gregg is a wonderfully talented musician. He is overly accomodating to everyone's requests and extremely adaptable to his environment. He had the guests laughing, dancing and singing along. His personality is delightful.
I was so pleased at his professionalism. When he arrived I was headed home to bring appetizers back to the event. I showed him where to set up and he took it from there. I did nothing else, he set up and was playing music when the guests arrived. I'm so glad that I could count on him as I spent the rest of my evening dealing with the worst caterers.
Thank you so much Gregg for making the guests feel like it was the best party!!! :) Vicki

My wedding reception could not have been better!Gregg exceeded our expectations in every way. From the first day we spoke on the phone seven months ago, to the day of the wedding, Gregg was there for us every step of the way. All of the guests raved about the music, and were particularly impressed with Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World" and Ben E King's "Stand By Me" for our children. We would recommend Gregg to anyone. You will not be disappointed!

Gregg Parker was phenomenal! We were delighted and amazed at their ability to "read the room". They knew when to tone it down/when to speed it up. We gave Gregg minimal direction prior to the wedding and he just seemed to know what to do and when to do it. For example we wanted the traditional wedding procession and recession. I asked Gregg how that was going to sound with an electric guitar and not a pipe organ. He told us not to worry they could do it. It sounded like a pipe organ in a cathedral- just what we wanted. Don't be fooled by Parker's "play list", these guys seemed to know how to play most anything. Sounded like a four person band with just two.

Gregg Parker exceeded all my expectations. He was professional, reliable, punctual and courteous. Most importantly, though, was his talent. He was absolutely wonderful!! What a good time! Gregg was great to work with and everybody loved him. He was accomodating and attentive in every way, turning an ordinary birthday party into a really fun get-together. He has so many great songs in his repertoire and he lit all of us up with his talents. Not only is he a fine musician, he's an engaging entertainer who, by the way, gives full attention to all of the details so the host doesn't have to! We had a lot of fun, feel like we made a new friend, and are very glad we hired him. Super-nice person who plays a mean guitar!

All the accolades given Gregg on his website are definitely well deserved. He and his partner, Joe, played at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party, and not only did all the adults love their music, the children did as well. Their music really made the party. Gregg is very personable, friendly and professional, not to mention talented. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or to recommend him.

We had heard Gregg Parker on several occasions at the Newark, Delaware, Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant and enjoyed his entertaining. When it was time for our annual backyard "Buffett Bash" we immediately thought of Gregg. He sounded even better in an outdoor venue. His friendly, down to earth approach and vocal/guitar styling, made for a super afternoon event. We look forward to having him back next year. We highly recommend Gregg.

We only had Gregg for a two hour luncheon - but we could've listened to him all day! Our family was visiting from the Florida Keys and Gregg's music and demeanor made everybody feel like we were in the Carribean islands. He was especially good with the kids ( we has 11 in our group ), and was able to accomodate most of our requests. His voice, guitar and easy humor made it a wonderful day, and next time we'll plan our day around him! I only wish we could've stayed longer, but we'll just have to have him again. Don't hesitate to believe what his other clients have said - that's how we made our decision. Thanks Gregg - you were terrific!!!!

Gregg Parker is awesome! He certainly set the tone for our rehearsal dinner - causal and relaxed - and helped all of us to enjoy the pre-wedding party. Gregg is talented, charming, and professional. He arrived early, stayed late, and then took off for his next gig. His sets were the longest we had ever heard - during our 4+ hour event, he took only one 15 minute break! He played to our tastes and knew every request...and what an amazing voice! We recommend him without hesitation and hope to invite him back for future events. Thank you Gregg!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Greg to truly express how pleased we all were to have him perform at our party. I contacted him, with very short notice, to play at a small 70th birthday celebration. Greg was BEYOND accomodating in EVERY way. We had hired another musician who cancelled on us at the last minute and I have to say now that I am glad they did!! My email and telephone correspondance with Greg reassured me that he would be able to "save the day!" And he did!! His song list is huge and is taylored to all ages. His performance was flawless and entertaining. He was extremely personable to all our guests and very comfortable to have at the party. His voice is a joy to listen to. Every one that heard him asked where I found him and commented on how wonderful he was...no lie! He made the party..really. I am very grateful to him for traveling a pretty long journey, on a holiday weekend, with not much notice, to play at our small party. It definately would not have been as successful without his wonderful music and personality. I highly highly recommend Greg and will definatly be using him again. THANK YOU GREG!! YOU ARE TOP NOTCH!

Gregg is the consummate professional. He worked hard to coordinate the event, canceling a regular gig in order to accommodate a date change. He worked even harder at the event itself, singing and playing his heart out for three straight hours to the delight of our crowd. We would highly recommend him to anyone and hope to use him again in the future.

I could not have been more pleased with Greg Parker and his performance at my husband's 40th birthday party. He is an extremely talented musician and truly made the party a huge success. In addition to his excelllent performance, Greg helped me coordinate party games and provided a microphone and CD player for me to use during the party. Everyone at the party raved about the music and I am sure at least a few of the guests will be hiring Greg for future engagements.

MARCH 30, 2007 GREGG PLAYED FOR MY HUSBANDS SURPRISE 60TH BIRTHDAY LAST NIGHT AND WAS THE HIT OF THE PARTY. EVERYONE WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I FOUND HIM AND WANTED HIS CARD. NOT ONLY IS HE A FABULOUS MUSICAN BUT A WARM AND KIND HUMAN BEING. HE WALKED ME THROUGH SOME NERVOUS PRE SURPRISE PARTY PLANNING. HE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY TOM PARELLA WHO WAS ALSO VERY TALENTED AND ADDED ALOT TO THE OVERALL SOUND. THE PLAY LIST WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED AND THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL FROM THE INITAL BOOKING TO SAYING GOODNIGHT. WE OWE HIM A HUGE THAKS FOR MAKING OUR AFFAIR A SUCCESS.

Our company's holiday party was held at a very nice shore restaurant for about 75 people. We hired Gregg the day after having heard him perform at a friends' birthday party. He provided the perfect backdrop for our event, easily fielding requests from our guests and maintaining a volume that was always easy to listen to, but did not interfere with our conversations. He was engaging and polite, and even performed some appropriate holiday pieces. We just can't figure out how he gets such a complete and naturally full sound out of his guitar with so much ease. His vocal range is vast, and he constantly surprised us with his adaptability from one genre of music to the next; this guy has a VOICE! We had a delightful party, and kept Gregg an extra hour beyond the time we originally agreed on ( something else he handled with ease and a smile ). We have used other performers for parties before, but never recieved so much "bang for the buck". As my wife says, "We've found 'our guy' now".... - and we'll be using him again. Thanks, Gregg - and Happy Holidays!

I hired Gregg for a surprise party in my home for my wife's 40th birthday. Everyone was thrilled with the song selections, and we even had a large portion of our guests ( there were about 150 people there ) dancing and singing along throughout the evening. One of our friends even booked him the next day for their upcoming Christmas party. Afterwards, when everyone else was gone, Gregg chatted with us for a while, and even played a few special songs just for Stephanie and me on our couch - just us, him and the guitar! I hope to have him back in the summertime poolside - he really helped to make my wife's party a tremendous success. You're not going to go wrong with this guy! John Sevastakis

Finding and booking a musician through Gigmasters for my son’s Bar Mitzvah party was extremely easy. We had a luncheon for about 50 people at a small restaurant. Gregg turned out to sound even better than his demos. His performance gave my party a warm atmosphere and a ‘peaceful easy feeling’. He played through the four hours without a break, so we never had a drop in the mood. That’s something I never expected and that I appreciated tremendously. And although there was continuous music it never competed with our conversation. Gregg’s choice of songs was just right for my group. With only his one voice and one guitar he masterfully gave each song depth and fullness. I also liked the way he kept faithful to the original artists’ arrangements. My party lasted on until the restaurant staff started rearranging the tables. Some people wouldn’t leave until Gregg finally had to pack up. I look forward to another time when I can hire him back to sing for me again.

Gregg was extremely accommodating from the first encounter when we considered hiring him. The music selection was perfect. I chatted with several of the guests who thought the band was absolutely "fantastic" and the hosts of the party were extremely pleased.
We would definitely hire them again for another affair.

We had Greg play at our wedding ceremony, and he was amazing...everything we had asked for and more. I am very picky and was nervous about booking someone from a website, but he was absolutely wonderful. Everyone had such nice things to say about his talent as well as his professionalism and character. I would highly reccommend Greg for any event!

Gregg did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend having Gregg play at any event that you need a guitarist. He was in communication with us prior to the event so that everything was discussed before the event and was very professional in his approach to the event

The music was just what I wanted for my wedding...beachy and classic rock all together. Everyone had wonderful comments about the music and Gregg and Guy's performance through the entire day/evening. They were extremely accomodating with special requests for our ceremony and special dances - even accomodating my husband's last minute request for a particular song for his dance with his mother.
Gregg is truly a seasoned professional and put me at ease about my wedding day...and - after all was said and done - my trust in his experience and professionalism was not misplaced.
Thanks to Gregg and Guy for their participation in our day!

Our experience with Greg Parker was a positive one from beginning to end. Gregg was in touch with us prior to booking both via e-mail and phone. He answered all of our questions and guided us through the process in a helpful and professional manner. We hired him based strictly on the pictures and demos offered on gigmasters and were a little nervous about it. He turned out to be excellent. Everyone at our party asked how we knew him and couldn't believe we found him on the internet. It felt like a risky thing to do, as much of a parties success hinges on the entertainment. We had nothing to worry about. Gregg played right in our living room and mid party we ended up pushing aside the couches to make room for all of our dancing guests. Weeks later I am still getting feedback from our friends about how great our guitar player was and I agree. A good time was had by all. If you like the songs on his playlist you cannot go wrong hiring him.

Gregg is a seasoned performer. If you are looking for great classic rock and easy listening rock, then he's your man. His vocals and guitar playing are exactly what you'd expect from a great performer. We would book him again.
