DESCRIPTION:
Fire Pixie is a professional fire dancing troupe that performs at a wide variety of venues in the San Francisco area and around the world. We have been working together for over seven years and bring an incredible amount of presence and performance experience to our show.Fire Pixie's style is a little more "modern" than traditional polynesian fire-knife dancing. We incorporate several different types of fire dance instead of just one - we do fire poi (fireballs swung on chains), fire staff (similar to the polynesian fire knife) and also incorporate fire eating and fire contact, where we actually touch the fire to our skin and extinguish torches in our mouths. With the multiple dancer shows, we also add in acrobatic dance, where the performers lift one another off the ground and wrap around one another, all while holding fire. Combined with stunning costumes and uplifting music, you get an incredibly memorable performance! Fire is our passion, and we have successfully built our lives around it, performing for all different types of people from all different walks of life. We live to set the souls of our audience aflame through the magic and mystery of our performance. We also have face and body painters and balloon twisters to add to any show.
