I am a professional singer/performing artist who teaches music/movement/theatre to students in Rockland NY. As the resident make-up artist for our school theatre department, I fell in love with the process of transformation through make-up....the more fantastic the better!
Now, both children and adults of all ages can be transformed within minutes by a stroke of my brush! Choose from a wide variety of full face, eye masks, cheek designs or hand and body painting. Only professional, FDA approved and hypo-allergenic paints are used. "I have to tell everyone that might hire Maria...she was without a doubt the BEST! Each child that she painted looked like they were ready for a Broadway show! And she was so kind, so patient, so EVERYTHING!!! I had inflatable waterslides, a magician, and a $100 per head caterer for my party, and the only thing people are talking about is "that face painter!" I recommend her without qualification or reservation! (And I actually had a party with Maria, this is NOT one of those entries that is just meant to build her up!) "Maria is a TRUE artist! The faces she painted were absolutely beautiful and spectacular. She was fast and very good with little kids (4-6 yr old). Very responsible in terms of following up after you book her.
Her son, Nick, was the balloon maker. His balloon pieces were complicated and interesting. He was awesome with the kids because he was so accommodating with his equipment and balloons. All the moms at my party loved him because he did not yell at the kids for touching his things =). He was so sweet and gentle with them. Very very polite too.

"Maria was great! I had a 50th birthday party so all my guests were adults. Everyone had a great time with picking and receiving their tattoos whether they were glitter, stenciled or free hand. "We hired Maria for our daughter's 8th safari themed birthday party. Maria was very responsive to my questions and followup prior to the party. She arrived early to set up and brought safari type faces to go with our theme. Her work is spectacular and the kids had such a great time getting their faces and arms painted. In fact, we couldn't peel some of the kids away from her table because they loved watching her. Maria was very patient with all of them and accommodated kids from age 1 to 12. She even lightly sang while she painted (she's a music teacher). I highly recommend Maria and hope you get the opportunity to have her at your party! "

"Maria was super professional and yet amazingly gentle with the kids. All kids loved her and she was undoubtedly the star attraction of our party. She was very quick and efficient and the facepainting designs were very cute and the kids loved the balloons she tied for them. My daughter refused to let me wash her butterfly painted face after the party :)

"We were thrilled with Maria! She arrived early, and was very accomodating. Our party was in a local playground, and she worked for 2 hours in the sun: the first 1.5 hours was face (and arm) painting, and balloon twisting for the last half hour. Our guests could not stop commenting on how talented Maria was, and how impressive her work was. We would definitely use her again- in fact my nearly 7 year old daughter is now requesting facepainting at her next birthday party. "

"Maria did a fantastic job at my daughters 10th birthday party. She was not at all affected by 15 screaming 10 year olds and did beautiful work, both facepainting and tatoos, the girls were thrilled. She was very calm and worked quickly so that everyone had a chance to be painted. She also did facepainting for my 5 year old boys that looked like they could have performed in a Broadway show the work was so good. One of our guests commented that their daughter looked as if she could be performing in the Chinese Peking Opera. I would highly recommend Maria for any party!!"

"Maria & her son arrived promptly & were set up very quickly. As soon as our first guest had their face painted, there was a line that formed. Each guest had a request to outdo the last "customer" & Maria endeavored to accommodate each request, including drawing up new designs outside her book of choices. We had guests from 1 to 70 who were adorned with the vibrant paints, glitters, & jewels, & everyone was so delighted with the work, that we had to extend the time just to get everyone in line completed.
