MORE ABOUT GREG Greg's musical career began when he started piano lessons at the age of eight. But the piano was his mother's idea. He had wanted to be a singer as far back as he can remember, but the next year his real musical passion was revealed. His older brother, Gary, began taking guitar lessons. Greg Was fascinated. Of course, Gary gave him strict orders to 'not touch my guitar or I'll break your arm!' Of course, this only made Greg's curiosity more intense. When Gary was out playing football with his friends, Greg was sneaking Gary's guitar out from under his bed and practicing. Within six months Greg had his own guitar and was playing as well as his older brother. And his arm remained miraculously unbroken. Greg's first experience playing in a band came at the age of 15 when a friend asked Greg to join his group for a gig at a high school dance. That was all it took - Greg was hooked. He wound up playing lead guitar for the group for about a year. In Greg's sophomore year he joined the high school jazz band where he learned and quickly mastered the bass guitar. He had continued playing the piano and was now well versed on three instruments. Now able to fit in regardless of what instrument was required, Greg continued playing and singing with numerous garage bands throughout his high school days. It was during his high school career that Greg discovered his other passion: the theatre. At 16 after being nominated by his drama teacher, Greg attended an 'invitation only' drama workshop at Michigan State University. Before long he was acting in community theatre stage plays and has since worked with several different theatre companies over the years. Greg has appeared in both musical and dramatic productions beginning with his portrayal of Nathan Detroit in 'Guys N Dolls' in 1977 and ending with his most recent performance as 'Prez' in 'The Pajama Game' in 2005. Some of the other productions Greg has appeared in include 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' 'The Matchmaker,' 'The Night Thoreau Spent In Jail,' 'January Thaw,' 'Arsenic and Old Lace,' 'Death Of A Salesman' and many others. Shortly after he graduated from High School, Greg moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One day, while scanning the newspapers for jobs, he spotted an ad that read: 'WANTED - GUITAR PLAYER FOR WORKING BAND.' Upon calling, Greg discovered that the 'working band' was in fact a back-up group for an Elvis Tribute Artist named David Padget. Greg played lead guitar, sang back-up and acted as musical director for Padget's back-up group for the next three years touring the mid-west and Canada. In 1983, Greg moved back home to his native Michigan where he worked on many different musical and technical projects. Honing his keyboard skills, he began composing and arranging, as well as voice-over work and production. In the summer of 1995 Greg got a call asking if he could perform as 'Elvis' at a 40th birthday party. The call was the result of a misunderstanding of Greg's role in the tribute show group in Wisconsin. Never having performed as Elvis before, Greg was apprehensive but agreed to do the performance. Needless to say, Greg was a hit and soon he began receiving calls to do his Tribute Show at private parties and special events. Now after more than a decade, Greg has won several awards as well as the respect of his piers in the industry for his 'Tribute to the King'.
Here's what people are saying about Greg's tribute to 'The King': 'I'm impressed every time I hear him.'

Greg did a great job! He performed at my daughter's wedding reception and everyone just loved him. I had so many comments on how much they enjoyed his performance and how it really set the tone for the party. People were talking about him long after he'd left and everyone just loosened up and partied till the bitter end. I would highly recommend him.

He was excellent....followed instructions for entering at the right time, timing was good. His costume, makeup, and songs were so good. He came to our Luzius family reunion to surprise aunt Sharon and uncle Gordon (who were at Elvis' 1956 concert in Toledo). It was so much fun! They loved it...and so did all the others who danced along with the music! I think this Elvis has some new lifelong fans, including those little girls Haley and Olivia!
Greg's assistant Janice is a great coordinator and really nice to work with. With such short notice, this event came off Perfect!!!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!! Susan K
