Formed in early 2013 to play a single gig for Mardi Gras, this New Orleans-inspired band continues to perform together and share their love for Traditional Jazz with music lovers and dancers all over Austin. As one of the only swing dancer-inspired Traditional Jazz bands in Austin, La Grosse Tete has played for The Austin Swing Syndicate and Four on the Floor (a local swing dance company). We strongly believe this lively music was intended for dancing...you will surely feel that driving beat that will make you want to tap for your feet! If you love Hot Jazz, you will love La Grosse Tete!

Grosse Tete arrived on time and every member was extremely talented and professional. They added so much fun to our party- playing a wonderful selection of Mardi Gras and Traditional Dixie Land Jazz. Several people at our party plan to book them for their own parties! Overall, we were extremely impressed with their talent and style. I highly recommend them and will definitely book them again for next year's party!!
