The Time Machine

The Time Machine Quartet is a fantastic group of players that includes pianist Bo Ayars, who's background covers playing for Presidents of the United States, and as the musical director for the Liberace Las Vegas shows, as well as accompaning many famous entertainers including Elvis Presley, Bob Hope, Tom Jones, Steve Allen and Barbra Streisand, to name a few. He is incomparable! Gary Smith is a drummer and vocalist who fronted his own band in the Los Angeles area for many years. Gary's band played at the Hollywood Paladium, the Coconut Grove, the Disneyland Hotel, The Queen Mary and many other locations in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas for nearly 40 years. Gary currently also leads Gary Smith's Mardi Gras All Stars, a seven piece Traditional Jazz band. Rick Campbell has played reed instruments in many Portland area bands and orchestras, including Bill Borcher's Oregon Jazz Band, The Fabulous Fifities Band and the Lake Oswego Millennium Concert Band. He currently also leads a Traditional Classic Jazz Trio called The Milneburg Jazz Band. David Duthie plays upright bass with a lyrical style that is rarely found anywhere. David has performed in musical theater, concerts and civic celebrations. He is what is known as a "Powerhouse bassist." David also plays with the Jim Beatty Jazz Band and recently on the cruise ship "Queen of the West." The Time Machine enjoys playing for private parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions, class reunions, corporate and civic functions and audiences who like to dance or just listen to music from The Great American Song Book that includes standards, show tunes, '50s and '60s rock, latin and is able to play any requested music for any occasion.
