Based in Las Vegas, Grammy ballot nominee Fans of Jimmy Century brings to the stage a theatrical, exciting dance music production with songs performed in their electronic style of avant garde dance rock and Las Vegas sizzle. Included are 2-6 choreographed dancers, costume changes, props, artful staging and more. FOJC songs are currently being featured in TV and Film including Columbia Pictures "Bad Teacher," Warner Bros. "Hall Pass," Gossip Girl, Melrose Place, The L Word, The Real Housewives of NYC, Community, Ugly Betty, The Hills, Roxy Europe, Forever 21, Zippo & Google promos.

What to expect from a 1-2 hour live Fans of Jimmy Century performance:

In every FOJC set you'll hear their hottest hit electronic dance rock pop songs that you've heard in today's most popular TV shows and feature films combined with a mix of additional top radio hits, Vegas-themed songs, sultry lounge standards, and acid jazz re-imagined on the dance floor in FOJC's unique electronic style of avant garde disco, dance, and hustle. The sets explode with energy, each featuring choreographed dancing and out-of-control lighting and staging. The style captures the temptation and allure of sizzling Las Vegas - with the vibe and imagery of Bond soundtracks, uptown babes, and sensual film noir. The show mixes the slick sexy flair of uptown Vegas with the fiery soul of downtown Vegas.

Fans of Jimmy Century travels with only the best DJs, dancers, and theatrical performers. With a 4-hour show you'll have (4) 35-minute electronically charged sets from FOJC integrated with the hottest most current playlists from one of the best current DJs around. Without missing a beat (between FOJC sets,) our DJ will keep the good vibes and energetic music going while FOJC is changing costumes and staging. The DJ sets are always complemented by costumed dancers, percussionists, magicians, and/or assorted theatrical performers.


Biography:

Now based in Las Vegas as of September 2011, avant-garde dance rock group Fans of Jimmy Century originated in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2007. After penning their newest song "Mr. Las Vegas," they felt a strong and sudden urge to grow permanent roots in Vegas. The song captures the eternal excitement and temptation of Las Vegas with a vintage 007 flair and seductive film noir style. To celebrate the launch of the song and the band's relocation, the video for "Mr. Las Vegas" will be shot and directed by Billy Clift in early 2012 at their mid-century modern residence in the historical Vegas neighborhood "Paradise Palms."

FOJC got off to a fast start with the success of their first 2008 single, "Hot Sahara," which climbed the dance and radio charts, reaching #23 on FMQB. Both "Hot Sahara" and its accompanying album, "Twist of the Banshees," were on the initial ballot in the Electronic Dance category for the Grammy Awards in the same year.

"Hot Sahara," & additional tracks have been consistently selected for key placements in several popular television shows such as The L Word (in a scene so steamy, it's now referred to by L Word fanatics as "The Hot Sahara Scene"), Gossip Girl, Melrose Place, The Real Housewives of NYC, Running Russell Simmons, Community, Ugly Betty, The Hills, The Listener, and Samantha Who?

Popular 2011 major feature film releases including Columbia Pictures' "Bad Teacher" starring Cameron Diaz & Justin Timberlake, and Warner Bros.' "Hall Pass" starring Owen Wilson featured "Hot Sahara," "Lola Like This," and "Your Crying Game" in the DVD bonus features of both films this past summer. Popular Brands / Advertisers such as Roxy Europe, Forever 21, and Zippo Lighters are also using FOJC songs in their 2011 online commercials/ads.

In 2010 FOJC collaborated for LucasArts, assisting composer Mark Griskey with the new Star Wars video game. In May 2010, they were chosen to perform at the largest fashion show on the West Coast, Charity Fashion Show 2010, at Stanford University, and were later featured performers at The East Bay Express' annual Best of the East Bay 2010 event in Jack London Square in August, performing in front of a crowd of 3000.

Fans of Jimmy Century's exciting and theatrical live performances have made them a favorite on the West Coast festival circuit, sharing the stage with artists such as Lady GaGa, Robyn, Cyndi Lauper, Shiny Toy Guns, The English Beat, and Berlin. FOJC's fans known as "Hotheads" have also been instrumental in social work, raising money for Haiti Earthquake relief, and gathering together through FOJC music purchases to assist future programs in need.

Following the release of first single "Mr. Las Vegas," will be second single "Va Va Voom to the Moon," both from the upcoming new full-length CD scheduled for an early 2012 release.
