Woodenickel is a Phoenix based band that has slowly emerged on to the music scene. Woodenickel came to life in November of 2001 and after a couple of personnel changes settled in to become one of Phoenix's premier rock and roll cover bands. Their style of music has slowly won the hearts of hundreds of fans around town. They have played venues like Apache Gold Casino, Mr. Lucky's, Wild Horse Pass Casino, Show Low's Concert in the Park Series and were regulars at Alice Coopers Town. They have entered and won a Battle of the Bands and more recently were the opening band for “Canned Heat" at the 2008 B.A.D event. Woodenickel being a variety band plays a wide range of music ranging from Bob Seger, Poison, Gin Blossoms, Kiss, Tom Petty, Jet, Temptations, Delbert McClinton, to Tom Petty, Joe cocker, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank williams Jr., and Black Crowes. • This was a fantastic band. Met ahead of time to discuss the location and they were very flexible and accomodating (we actually had 2 other bands from this site turn down our gig because they said that it would be too hot out, and they wanted to charge twice the amount). Came out, gave a great performance, everybody at the party LOVED them and I plan to use them again in the future as well as recommend them to my friends and family for similar events. -- Basil H, Phoenix, AZ, 8/29/2009
