Since 1987, Teacher's Pet has been one of the top bands in the Southeast, performing at hundreds of events such as wedding receptions & rehearsal dinners, commitment ceremonies, private parties, corporate events & holiday parties, conventions, and more.

We believe it's our job to make your party a hit. For that reason, Teacher's Pet maintains a song list that includes a wide variety of song styles, including R&B, soul, funk, rock and roll, light jazz, big band, Latins, and even a few country numbers.

Members of Teacher's Pet have contributed to well over 70 commercially released record/CD projects. Television appearances on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, The Merv Griffin Show and Austin City Limits, are just 3 of the venues that band members have played. We have Gold and Platinum albums, a Grammy award and numerous citations from NARAS [The Recording Academy] for contributions to Grammy winning recording projects to our credit. Having said that, we understand the importance of entertainment and of making your event special. It's all about you and your event.

The size of the band can be suited to your budget. Our most effective configuration is the 6-piece band (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, saxophone and trumpet). But the band can also powerfully swing your party as either a 9-piece [4 horns and a percussionist] or 4-piece group [minus horns]for a smaller budget.

Teachers Pet can also bring one of the best girl singers in the Nashville/Middle Tennessee area, if that's what you're looking for. We'll happily work with you within the confines of your event budget.

• Teachers Pet is talented, FUN and versatile. We got rave reviews from guests. They engaged the crowd and sang happy birthday to a friend as I had requested. Really sensed the crowd’s mood-played light music during dinner and took it up a notch as the party heated up. The horn section is AWESOME. My fav memory of my reception is the last 2 songs and everyone going crazy dancing- I owe that to TP for getting everyone excited and to the dancefloor. Best band for the price. In fact, I think they were worth much more than we could pay. I would absolutely recommend this band. They even learned 2 songs for us!
