DESCRIPTION:
Amateur Pickpockets have been shown by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to cure depression. Side effects associated with consumption of Amateur Pickpockets and their sound include mild lunacy, uncontrollable rhythmic seizures, and feverish laughter.
The most consistent compliments received by the Pickpockets generally center around the diversity of the setlist. Very few people claim to have witnessed anything resembling the seamless transitions made by the band as they leap from the reddest of hits like David Allen Coe's "You Never Even Call Me By My Name" to a hip-hop favorite like Salt N' Pepa's "Push It" into the butt-shakin', earthquakin' "I Feel Good" by James Brown…and, yes, they can play "Sweet Home Alabama." The Amateur Pickpockets' set is full of the favorites you already love. The Pickpockets give you exactly what you want…but, often a little bit differently than you've had it before. From classic rock to country, rhythm and blues to hip-hop, to good, old-fashioned rock and roll, Amateur Pickpockets cover everything (well, almost everything…they haven't mastered Jem and the Holograms yet, but they're working on it). If you leave less than entertained from an Amateur Pickpockets show it's because you're rejecting a good time that will most definitely be offered to you.
