Allan Mayes is British and a veteran of the UK and USA pub circuits throughout the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Early in the 70's, Allan & Elvis Costello had a songwriting partnership & performed as the duo, Rusty. Over the years, Allan has naturally developed a vocal style similar to that of Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker, Bruce Springsteen, & Neil Diamond. LaDonna is much younger but despite this has 12 years experience as a vibrant performer. She plays saxophone, harmonicas, and the recorder, as well as adding percussion when necessary. Vocally, she bears an uncanny resemblance to Stevie Nicks; however, her range also garners requests for Patsy Cline, Cilla Black, & Jay Black. 100% live vocals, guitar, saxophone, harmonicas, & tambourines layered upon a drum machine for rhythm & a sound module for other instrumental accompaniment enable Allan and LaDonna to provide a "full band" listening experience for the audience. They also offer the added bonus of maintaining better volume control whether cranking out power rock or keeping it low key as etiquette may dictate in some situations. With a long history of entertaining regularly at many Austin locations including Chelsea Street Pub, Carlos'n Charlie's, Johnny Fins, and Bahama Breeze as well as experience at country clubs & from 8 years in the cruise line industry, Allan and LaDonna easily adapt to any setting be it intimate patios & living rooms or larger clubs & dance halls.
