Description

Dwight Raby plays 12-15 shows a month throughout the Southeast focused on Atlanta region, Florida panhandle, and Atlantic Coast. He plays over 750 covers and performs as a solo acoustic, duo, trio, or full band. He has played all over the Buckhead area of Atlanta at places like Park Bench, Red Door, CJ's Landing, Buckhead Saloon, Tavern 99, and Five Paces Inn, and Tin Roof. He has shared stages with people like Zac Brown, Michael Tolcher, Francisco Vidal, Caroline Aiken, and Angie Aparo.

Dwight's shows are unique for their spontanaiety, variety, and feel-good atmosphere. He makes an effort to get to know the crowd and designs a setlist on the fly to fit their needs. Often, if someone makes a request of a song he doesn't know, he'll simply do a fun cover of the song on the spot by ear before segueing into something else to get the crowd going. He tailors each show to fit the needs of the audience. He plays free and easy in low key performances and clubs. For weddings and private events he brings a professional demeanor. He is well known for being on time and professional at all his events.

The band is currently in pre-production for a new CD that will be released under a new name. Joined by longtime drummer Jeff Beach (HottBoxx, Jacob and the Good People) and bassist/guitarist Frank Lisco (Hightone Shelter, Frank Lisco Band) they are shooting for a release early summer of 2012.

Feedback

  • THANK YOU! I could not have been happier with Dwight Raby and the guys! They were flexible when we needed to move the event inside due to weather and were very accommodating through the night. Our clients LOVED them and we heard many compliments on the band. The music was great and fit our brand perfectly. They didn’t overshadow the event with music but provided a fun and alive atmosphere. I will use them anytime in the future for a client event. More than just the music though the guys were fun to work with. They played request, got the crowd in it and had fun. Could not have asked for a better group! Lauren - Yahoo! Inc. -- Lauren V, Atlanta, GA, 10/19/2011
  • Dwight and the other two band members are an absolute pleasure to work with and a perfect fit for our event. Not only are they gentleman, easy-going and accommodating, they are extremely talented and polished. Every person at the event raved about the band and the selection of songs they played. I highly recommend Dwight Raby and would most definitely hire them again to perform at other events. They rock!!! -- Kelly C, Atlanta, GA, 4/13/2012
