DESCRIPTION:
We are a rockin' country party band. Everywhere we play... the dance floor is always full of excited people having fun !! If you really want to get the party started, then you need this band. We specialize in country music . But we're also known for performing some great rock & roll, southern rock, oldies, and even a blues song or two (all great dance music) ! You never really know what we'll play next depending on the crowd. We mix up the music to offer something for other people who may not want to hear just country music. HOWEVER, if your show calls for all country music and nothing else,, Then we are more than willing to accommodate your request. Our equipment and attitude is very professional and we have over 5o years of musical experience between us. No event is too big or too small. We just want to perform for people who enjoy great live entertainment. But we're also used to entertaining large crowds as we have hosted many major events over the past few years. If the people are not dancing and having a good time, then we are not doing our job plain and simple! This is the ultimate party band for any occasion.
About Rupert, Heavily influenced by country and rock... I write songs that combine the two music groups in a unique mixture of fresh new original music that is in a category all of its own! Some of my songs are country meets rock.. while others remain as country as any traditional country music fan would expect..... Recently (2005) received finalist honors in the (VH1- Save The Music) Song of The Year Songwriting Contest. The song is called "Don't You Love Me Anymore"! Recorded two songs in Nashville, Tennessee on an indie record label.. One of these songs called "Would You Take Me" reached No. 10 on the Independent Country Music Charts. You can hear it here on the audio file. I am very proud of my 2 originals titled " A Country Song " & " Hugs And Kisses ". These two songs were produced by my friend Mr. "Ronnie Montrose" , from the rock band "Montrose". Ronnie Montrose is the person who discovered "Sammy Hagar" !. I love it when we play these songs at a show and people come up and say " who sings that song?". Thats when I just light up with a huge smile and say " We Do " ! "Hugs And Kisses" is an extra special song straight from the heart . At first we were dedicating this song only to the people serving in the armed forces and troops who serve our great country which we still do. But now I'm finding out that anybody missing a family member can relate to this song.... Even if you don't hire us for the gig, you should at least listen to this song "Hugs And Kisses"!
About the Band, Over the past few years "The Rupert Duncan Band" has performed at many major corporate events, rodeo dances, casinos, festivals, fundraisers, private parties, weddings, and a number of benefit performances for a worthy cause. We are the perfect blend of country and rock & roll ! And we get the whole house rocking when we play ( off the hook). Its like a big party. We are ready, willing, and able to "play for you" ! From little bars to jam packed dancehalls. Whatever kind of celebration it is! Lets do it! One more thing, we are currently in the middle of recording a 10 song CD of original music that will be finished by August 08'. So with that in mind Anybody who books us (once the album is complete) will receive a free CD of our original music as well as a free "Rupert Duncan Band" T-shirt to go along with it :) !
PLEASE NOTE : We are based near Sacramento, Ca... We will travel just about anywhere to do a show, however the travel expenses add up quick with a 5 piece band. Especially with these high fuel prices that seem to be going up every 5 minutes....

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
Everyone at the party made comments on how great the band was! They put on a great show and seemed really engaged in the event. They were great and we really hope to come up to their "neck of the woods" and watch them play again!!!

This feedback is way overdue. Rupert and the boys drove out from the Central Valley to the Pennensula for a party my brother and I were throwing for our Parent's 60th birthdays. Not only were they willing to drive out for the gig, they were there early!! For as haphazard as the format of the party was, Rupert and the guys were totally accomodating to all our needs. "play for a little while until my parents show up", "take a break for a little while so we can give a presentation", "jump back up and keep playin'". No matter what we asked, Rupert and they guys did it with a smile on their face! Oh, did I mention that they were ROCKIN'? Cause they most def were!

Rupert and the band were just what we were looking for, a great blend of country and rock for a diverse crowd at our yearly company "kick off" party. They were there on time ready to go and were very accomodating with song requests. I was very pleased with their performance and was told by many how much they enjoyed the music, Rupert and his boys tore it up!!! I hope we can get them back for next year's event...
Thanks again,
Dan

These guys are the best! The only day in September that it rained we had an outdoor reception. They had no problem moving all their stuff into the carport and playing. Our reception turned out fabulous and they kept the party going all night long! We had so many guest ask us for their contact info. In fact all of us are trying to come up with a reason to have them back! I cant even think of the words to describe just how wonderful, fun, and professional they are! We love The Rupert Duncan Band and highly recommend them for any event!!

The entire band was very accommodating to our needs, adjusting to last minute changes in performance times and allowing us to use their microphones for other entertainers during our annual Base Picnic and Day for Kids event. Although primarily country music was played, their abilities transferred to some 70's and 80's music as well. We will definitely book them in the future for our base-wide events entertainment. Thank you for a job well done.

The Rupert Duncan Band was fantastic! From first contact to the end of the party they were accomodating, professional, entertaining and really tons of fun. We were suprised at their strong vocals and willingness to take requests outside their wide range of Country songs. We will be hiring them again at least once a year for our annual party and would recommend them to anyone. We were uneasy hiring a band from the interenet... What a wonderful suprise! It was a very sucessful night. We requested they stay and enjoy themselves, nobody wanted to see them leave (including my 83 year old mother which they sang a special song. Hire them, you will not be disappointed!!!
