Mark Wayne Hagood preserves the tradition of outlaw country and the roots of true country by paying tribute in his shows to the likes of Waylon Jennings (Mark's personal favorite artist) as well as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, David Alan Coe, Johnny Paycheck and more. Additionally, being from Texas, Mark has dove head first into the Texas Music sound (those outside of Texas refer to it as Outlaw Music), being influenced by Robert Earl Keen, Cory Morrow, Pat Green, Chris Knight, Jason Boland and bands like Reckless Kelly. Mark also enjoys playing some of today's country from artists that hold true to that true country sound, artists like Jamey Johnson, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw and the Texas Favorite, George Strait.

In this vein, Mark also writes. He has originals that speak about Texas, love and hate, family and strangers, Christian and sinner and story-telling songs that take you on an imaginative adventure through song.

Mark is origianlly from Sweetwater, Texas where he grew up after being born in Ft. Worth. He spent college years in the South Plains of Texas at Texas Tech University, has lived around the panhandle, from Amarillo to Plainview, as far west as El Paso and now spends a lot of time in the Houston area.

Mark's motto is "Every day's a holiday and every night's a party" and that's how he lives his life and then reduces it to songs.
