Description
Country music with urban sensibility. The Dang-Its is a five piece band whose tag line, “Western Swing, Honky Tonk, & Americana” barely begins to describe the range of styles that comprise their repertoire: folk, country blues, Cajun, bluegrass, classic country, rockabilly, country swing, and more.
Weddings? If you love country music, The Dang-Its deliver a variety of 100% danceable tunes. Your aunt and uncle want to polka? You're covered! Grandpa and Grandma love to waltz? Done! Just ask.
Corporate events? It doesn't matter if your event is “county” themed or not. The
Dang-Its have entertained at hundreds of concerts, festivals, and performing arts centers all over the mid-west. They are seasoned entertainers and can adapt to any requirements of your event.
The band is fronted by vocalists Tom Waselchuk and Jami Lampkins. Tom is the band leader and guitarist, and Jami doubles on acoustic guitar and 5-string banjo.
Drummer Mark Luhring and bassist Pete Olig also sing. Rick Nass plays pedal steel guitar with a unique “synth” setup that allows him to faithfully mimic dozens of other instruments, from viola and French horn to accordion and saxophone.
The Dang-Its have three independently released recordings. They are professional, veteran performers and entertainers. Their programs feature top-notch musicianship, expert vocals, and a wide range material from the humorous to the heartbreaking

Feedback
- They drove all the way to Des Moines to play at our wedding and made it such a wonderful enjoyable evening. From soothing dinner music to breaking it down on the dance floor, we were amazed at how great they sounded and how versatile they were. They are not your typical wedding band, they bring a new sound to all the favorites! I want to thank them again for making our night so romantic and such a blast for all of our guests. -- Rachel B, Des Moines, IA, 10/1/2011
- The Dang-Its did an amazing job with a great mix of music. They did a little classic country including waltzes for the grandparents, new country tunes for the younger crowd, and swing music plus 50s and 60s rock n roll for those who wanted something other than country music, making the night memorable and fun for everyone. We loved hearing their version of our special requests. Even those who told me they wouldn't dance the chicken dance couldn't resist joining in. Just an all around incredible performance and a perfect choice for our wedding.

- Wow! What a wonderfully talented band! The Dang-Its were the cornerstone of the party - great musicians, great play list (the perfect blend of bluegrass and country - some new and some old and some of their own music) and great stage presence. In a confined space, they provided good energy and vibe for the party without overpowering volume. They thoroughly understood what we wanted and delivered from the first song to the last. Never was a better version of "Happy Birthday" ever played! A pleasure to work with The Dang-Its! -- Sara P, Chicago, IL, 3/23/2012
