KC Johns is a 21-year-old country music singer and songwriter from Hernando, MS. She released her self-written, debut album "Tell Me You Love Me" in 2009. KC performs throughout the nation in response to her album's success.
KC's passion for country music was prevalent at a very young age. At the age of 3, KC would climb on her mother's coffee table and sing "Achy Breaky Heart" to her family. At age 8, KC knew she was destined to share her talent through singing and songwriting, after her mother took her to see the Grand Ole Opry. Even today, her main goal is to sing a duet with George Strait at the Opry. KC's main musical influences are George Strait, Shania Twain, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Her favorite music is Country and Christian.
KC has been a barrel racer all her life, but recently stopped 2 years ago to pursue her dream in music. She danced for the Janice McAfee School of Dance for 15 years and was a cheerleader for the "Vipers." For 3 years, KC sang and played guitar in her youth praise band at Lifepoint Church. She currently attends Northwest Community College and majors in Business Marketing, but KC makes her mark on the world by singing, playing the guitar, writing, and making a difference with her music.
KC's debut album "Tell Me You Love Me" was recorded in Nashville. It is available on iTunes and in select Best Buy stores. KC also recently released a music video for her hit song, "Fireflies at Night".
KC has appeared on several TV shows, such as Nashville Spotlight, The Kay Main Bain Morning Show, Fox 13 News and WREG News Channel 3's Live at 9. In addition, she made appearances in the magazine Country Weekly and made the front page of Desoto Appeal in July 2009. KC has also written and recorded radio commercials for Ideal Tires, Hernando Dental Group, Pucci Petique and Cowboy Corner. A few places where you can find KC's CD's are Cowboy Corner and Ideal Tires in Southaven, MS., All About Hair, Pucci Petique and Fitness 24 in Hernando, MS., Purse-N-Ality and The Cowboy Store in Senatobia, MS.
KC travels and performs throughout the Mid South. In Nashville, KC has performed at Tootsies, 12th and Porter, Nashville Palace and the Limelight. She has also performed at several PBR rodeos and several music festivals across the Southeast region. KC has opened for artists such as Luke Bryan, Randy Houser, Chris Young, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Charter's Chord, Trailer Chior, Jenny Gill, Kingbilly, Blues Travelers, Dirt Drifters, and The Dirt Brothers.
