Bill Johnson, former President & CEO of McDonald's Canada, is a seasoned leader who started working at McDonald's when he was just 18 years old. Against all odds, he successfully climbed to the top of the corporate ladder. From this unique point of view, Bill shares with his audience what it takes to be a successful business leader. With anecdotes and front line stories, Bill takes you along his journey to the top. He tells it like it is. "I left home for a while and when I was 18 years old, I picked up a job flipping burgers in London, Ontario. It wasn't easy. I had some nice customers and some really tough ones. I didn't always work my favorite shifts and my friends used to show up on a Friday night and laugh at my uniform. Well, they don't laugh any more. I spent the next 35 years climbing the ladder of this organization. I worked hard and with some luck, I moved up." "Today, I sit on a number of boards. I've started my own consulting business, it's called “I am McJobs”. People from a range of experiences in the business world have come to me for advice on how to be more successful within their industries. I've recently become the Chairman of the Board of “Bento Nouveau”. I conduct lectures at the Richard Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. I am the private “coach” for the students at the Richard Ivey Business School's EMBA and MBA classes. I'm still involved with Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities and support their vision."
