Christmas PartyReviewed on December 9, 2008From Houston, TX

John was very accomodating to our needs. His show was excellent and our attendees were laughing all evening. His show was professionally done and all attendees said they would like to hear him perform again. He is a comedian of the highest caliber and I would highly reccommend him to perform for other groups

ConventionReviewed on October 27, 2007From Conroe, TX

Mr. John Jackshaw performed a comedy routine for the Phi Sigma Alpha convention banquet. We enjoyed his performance and were especially impressed that his was indeed a "clean" comedy routine.

John was a trooper! After getting stuck in traffic, not being able to reach me by phone, then smacking his face on a concrete pole...he came in and did a great job and made the crowd laugh. It was a good clean show and he was a very nice guy.

Michelle made my job easy, with her superior planning. . . a real professional. Here's another reference viewable at my web site; http://johnjackshaw.co. John is a refreshing talent. He has performed numerous times with our Amuzing Grace Revue and each time he has impressed me with his delivery and his fresh perspective. I particularly admire his willingness to risk new material and his desire to keep adding to his show and tailoring it for each event. What John lacks in sight he more than makes up for with insight! John was very clean in his material which of course was a must for a church group. He seemed to get better as he went along. I would reccomend John for any venue who wished to have a comedy show with a clean appeal. Philip Duncan Woodsedge Community Church Singles Leadership Committee

Philip Duncan and his church were a great bunch. . . lots of fun. Here's another reference from a client booked via my MySpace page; http://www.myspace.com/thatblindguy As a pastor, I'm glad we had John Jacksha at our church. I hope we can get him back soon. He's very, very funny! I had to keep reminding myself that he's blind. That's because you can see how John is comfortable with himself. Book him now. You'll be glad you did. Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on June 29, 2009From New Orleans, LA

John performed for my husband's 50th surprise birthday party. I provided him with personal information about my husband and John was very creative in incuding this information to customize numerous jokes for my husband. We were very please with his performance. Thank You John and best of luck in all your future endeavors. I will recommend you to my friends and family in the future.

No rebut here. Monique was a great event planner! Here’s another review, booked via my FaceBook page; http://facebook.conm/johnjackshaw We were fortunate that John was available to perform for our annual office Christmas Party at Gaido's in Galveston. He was perfect for our ophthalmology clinic of about 30 people, primarily female. He balances his topical humor with just the right amount of edgy and narrative humor to make for a perfect show. He even brings in some of his blind jokes and experiences which was perfect for our group. Highly recommended for a change of pace from the usual comedian. . Thanks for coming, Allan H. Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on May 22, 2009From Bryan, TX

I hired John Jackshaw for a birthday party and he performed excellently. He was able to reach everyone in the audience with his humor, which was a mixed crowd of adults & children. He presented himself with utmost professionalism and everyone enjoyed the show. Thank you John!

:

Tiberio was a most gracious client. . .No problems. Here's another reference from my web site: http://johnjackshaw.com *John Jackshaw is what we in the comedy biz call a natural. After easily transitioning from radio to the comedy stage, John quickly found himself a paid professional booked at Houston's Laff Spot Comedy Club (where he shows up often) & being invited back for a second show at Lakewood Church. He appears regularly at Christian Comedy Nights at churches & coffeehouses all over Houston & is a prolific writer, coming up with new, hilarious material every time we work together. Though visually impaired, John's observations will leave you in stitches.

Corporate FunctionReviewed on October 5, 2009From Alvin, TX

Our counselors enjoyed his jokes. He put a spin on how we see regular things like going to Walmart... I'd like to have heard more about his trials of running the radio station. More about things that happened to him and how people react to his blindness. Hats off to John Jackshaw for being able to hold our attention for an hour... it's difficult just remembering 1 or 2 jokes! He truly is a professional and We'll recommend him for other units. thank you sir!

Awards Night PartyReviewed on February 23, 2010From Richland, MS

We had an awards banquet for room full of truck drivers. Not sure if they guys were expecting different type of entertainment, but they were not real cooperative when it came to laughter. Hard crowd to please!

:

*LET’S TRUTHFULLY REVIEW MS. BAKER’S STATEMENT. ”We had an awards banquet for room full of truck drivers. Not sure if they guys were expecting different type of entertainment…” *NOT SURE WHAT TYPE OF ENTERTAINMENT “THEY GUYS” WERE EXPECTING? WERE THEY NOT TOLD? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THE SHOW HAD BEEN PROMOTED TO THE GROUP, TO SEED THEIR INTEREST. PROPER STAGING OF COMEDY WAS COVERED IN A DOCUMENT, THAT I SENT TO MS. BAKER, WHICH WAS OBVIOUSLY IGNORED. YOU’D THINK, WHEN A CLIENT WATCHES MY VIDEOS AND CHOOSES TO SPEND $$$, THEY WOULD BE COMMITTED TO MAKING THE EVENT A SUCCESS. “but they were not real cooperative when it came to laughter. He did not keep the interest of the party. The majority of the people were bored.

:

Sooner or later you’ll encounter a client like this. They negotiate a lower price, and then, want to re-negotiate and pay even less. Specific requests, regarding staging for the event, were ignored. Taking this uncooperative client was a huge mistake. From my vantage point, on stage, those “disinterested and bored” people could be heard laughing loudly. I was told, that the people seated at the table with Ms. Miller were enthusiastically engaged. When Ms. Miller’s comments are measured against my other Gigmasters and web site feedback, it’s clear that this type of client can never be pleased. EventReviewed on September 21, 2010From Houston, TX

John went out of his way to work with the group's budget, which was extremely beneficial to the overall success of the event.

:

Allow me to add some clarity, about the client's pricing comment, as well as the Gigmasters rating system. The event was a reunion of World War II vets. I told the event planner, up front, that out of my immense respect for the military, I would adjust my performance fee to whatever level was convenient to the client. Unfortunately, I knew full well, that 60% of the overall performer rating, calculated by GM, comes from the performance fee. In a manner, I knowingly shot myself in the foot, out of respect. So, any numeric scoring from the client becomes more critical, as I sacrificed points by lowering my fee. Why did the reviewer lower my score on overall talen
