Ella the Spella the Phenomenal, "Masta" Storytella Comedian from Woodbridge, VA

As a former "Class Clown from the 1900's," she realized her ability to entertain, through quick wit and a creative thought process. Whether standing in the grocery store, retail or even the unemployment line, yes, she's been in all of them at some point of her journey, nonetheless; she has always used her southern mannerism, unique sense of humor and her gift of spelling to connect with audiences and complete strangers a-l-i-k-e. Standing 5 feet and 10 inches tall, and just a little over 110lbs, +100+5, 10, 15, 20....well, never mind……she says, this aint no hide and go seek experience, but this tall, talented, gorgeous, voluptuous and confident woman of God, with incredible stage presence, deep, raspy vocals, and a big, fat, larger than life personality is a force to be reckoned with. Commanding the English alphabet like none other, she has been known to leave audiences with the ultimate "Hooked on Phonics" experience. You might find her at the mall, bellowing an off the cuff jingle for a free Cinnabon or strolling the aisle at Costco after Sunday services, accumulating enough mini-samples to make up a meal. She has been known for putting a "trick or treat" on her audiences; usually sharing the tricks, while consuming all the treats for herself! Those clever techniques not only gained her a plethora of free samples and a few giggles from innocent bystanders, but she also acquired a few unintended inches around the waistline as well! Her performances will engage her clients from beginning to end and will leave them with the ultimate "Hooked on Phonics experience." Yes, indeedie sweetie... She has no problem connecting with complete strangers and audiences alike. She is committed and passionate about leaving her audiences with the utmost memorable experience and blushes upon exit when someone "spells out" their favorite comedic moment after a show. You should also know, she is more than a Stand-up Comedienne, she is an Entrepreneur, Event Organizer, Actress, Creative Writer, soon to be published author AND Founder of the "Professional Snack Ministry"...She says, "I never met a snack I didn't like...... and as you can see..........they definitely liked me back!" She has credits on the big screen to include a West African Screenplay entitled: Vengeance is Mine, written by Christy Collins and directed by Jomo Stubblefield. She is also featured in a Christian music video, entitled: Butterfly, created by Pastor Devin Turner. Christina is also a member of P.V.E.G. (Positive Vibes Energy Group), former Partner with the L.O.L.G.C.A (Living on Laughter Gospel Comedy Association), a 2013, A.M.T.C graduate (Actors, Talent & Models for Christ) and a member of C.A.P.A.C. - pronounced KayPack ((The Creative & Performing Arts Center). She said she joined this organization because she thought the acronyms stood for "Cookies And Pies And Cakes. One of her most memorable highlights, was sharing the stage with famed actor and Comedian, Joe Tory at the University of Maryland, Bowie, Maryland. Many have asked how she derived at the stage name Ellavation and in her most animated, storytelling ability, she recalls: an evening in the late 1900's, she & two good friends, Eric Vincent and Marcos Council stopped by. I was making my way onto the comedy scene & told them I needed a stage name. We were all trying to come up with something that would be "unique as well as catchy." And because I was a great storyteller, they came up with the name "Ellavation" and something clicked! It was from that moment, that Ellavation aka Ella the Spella wsa birthed! You see, "Ella-vate" means: to promote to upgrade, to advance, to hoist, to lift up, to motivate, to inspire to esteem. That name spoke volumes to who I am and what my mission and ministry is about." Christina also said, "when I was a little girl I would hear my grandmother gossiping and every once in a while, she would spell a person's name or spell a word that she didn't think the kids were smart enough to comprehend.....but no maam, oh no....not me. I was too inquisitive and I liked books back in the day, so I would get a piece of paper and write that word down and sound it out until I figured out what "Inell B. Wilson" was talking about! God rest her soul. Grandma also used this "spelling technique" during Christmastime as well. I remember it as if it were yesterday! Christina also said, back in nineteen hundred and seventy-eight, she was fascinated by the word "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." She remembered that it was 34 letter word and she was committed to learning how to spell it! And she did! She is still spelling to this day like never before! The bible says, a cheerful heart is good medicine... the best part is, there are no prescriptions, deductibles or co-pays required, however!
