DESCRIPTION:
Stringscalm is a group of musicians whose rigorous classical training
was a launching pad for their discovery of a wide variety of music. In addition to performing traditional classical and chamber music, they have an alter ego Jetset Quartet which DJs, arranges and plays a vibrant jukebox of styles as well as composing songs upon request. As active performers and recording artists in many areas of the US, most recently the Boston and NYC areas, they have extensive experience in most genres and have enjoyed playing over 694 weddings, special events, other wonderful functions, and counting! In addition to appearing regularly with chamber and orchestral groups, the founder has performed live with Led Zeppelin, the B-52’s, Guster, Sarah MacLachlan, The O'Jays, The Temptations, Isaac Hayes, Snow Patrol,and Santogold.
