Classical guitarist Eric Swanson began his studies at age twelve with Rick Foster and John Rook at the Neighborhood School of Music in New Haven Connecticut.  
At age fifteen he performed for Stephen Bell, a guest guitarist performing at the "The Starlight Festival" later that summer, at Bells suggestion, the Starlight festivals patriots sent  Eric  to Spain, and where he attended master classes with Jose Tomas in Musica en Compostela  .  
Upon returning, He met and studied with Eliot Fisk while Fisk was getting his degree at Yale University. 
Eric received his B.A. from the University of Miami, his M.A. from the University of Denver, where he apprenticed under Ricardo Iznaola, where he was the assistant to the maestro.

Wonderful evening with Eric's "surprise" romantic serenade at our anniversary celebration. He provided great input before the event, was professional, talented, accommodating, and he perfectly timed the surprise performance. Eric, Thank you so much for your special part in our celebration.

Eric was perfect and amazingly talented. We wanted to have many old hymns played on classical guitar, which required him learning new arrangements. He was so kind to put in the extra time and effort to make sure he knew and could play those songs for us. He came to our rehearsal, came to the ceremony early and stayed late. You will be lucky if he has time to play your event. 

Perfect compliment to the special occasion.
