DESCRIPTION:
Playing under world class conductors at the Cleveland Institute of Music led to her position as harpist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and playing in local studios. Playing weddings in the southeast since 1980, she is also the leading Jazz Harpist in Atlanta. From the Fox downtown to the gardens of the Ravinia club, she has played 200 events in 2005. Her extensive wedding repertoire includes Christian, Jewish, Love Songs (Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Kenny G), Jazz, New Age, Celtic and nonsecular music for ceremonies and receptions.
Susan presents jazz harp combos ranging in size from her popular harp & bass duo up to quintets. Her trio consists of harp, bass, and saxaphone. Studying jazz harp led to a variety of styles, from straight-ahead to smooth jazz. Her combos have played numerous venues including: Papa Pirozki's Restaurant, the High Museum, Centenniel Park concert series, Woodruff Park Concert Series, Atlanta Symphony Associates Presentation, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Ansley Golf Club New Years eve 2000, Mayor Shirley Franklin's New Years Brunch 2006.

Susan was very accommodating and played at my mother in law's funeral at the last minute. She played our recommended song and one other Celtic song chosen by her (which was beautiful). She arrived at the funeral home in plenty of time before the event. She is an excellent performer who plays beautifully and I would highly recommend her.
