DESCRIPTION:
Steve is a woodwind virtuoso specializing in saxophone and flute and is fluent in a variety of styles of jazz and classical music. The Duo features the classics as well as jazz standards, and is particularly appropriate for wedding ceremonies, banquets, and other social affairs. The Trio and Quartet feature jazz, swing, and big band style music and are perfect for wedding receptions, parties, nightclubs, and concerts. The Swing Band features rhythm and blues, soul, and Motown music in addition to jazz and big band styles.Steve has been performing for nearly thirty years and is widely regarded as one of the top jazz musicians in the midwest. He has performed at most of the major jazz clubs and festivals in Michigan and Ohio, has toured Europe twice, has recorded with a variety of leading jazz artists, and released two cd's of his own - "Unanswerable Questions" on Alembic Arts and "Deep Woods" on Corridor Records.
