DESCRIPTION:
Bringing the sound of traditional Scottish and Irish tunes into any setting, makes an event one to remember. Whether your event is a wedding, funeral ceremony, corporate function, or just a party, the sound of the pipes is incredible.
Having started piping at age 12, Robert has played with some of the best U.S. bagpipe bands and has had countless instruction from some of the world's finest instructors. Robert has played for many Heads of State and has opened for Rod Stewart twice. This past January, Robert performed with The Cheiftans when they came to the Bass Hall in Fort Worth. In 2001, Robert competed with the Lyon College Pipe Band, who took 2nd place at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. He has also competed all over the US and Canada and is currently Pipe Major of the Ballantyne Memorial Pipe Band. If a professional and unsurpassed performance is what you seek, look no further. Robert's beautiful playing at my mother's graveside service gave the family and guests such a feeling of peace and comfort. His music has a way of toughing the soul I know my mother would have been pleased. He is a real gentleman and I would recommend him for any occasion. He made one of the most difficult days a little bit better and I'm grateful he was there.

Robert McCallion was wonderful. His musical skill and choice of music added so much to my Mother's Funeral. The Friends attending the service were profuse in their compliments about him.
I especially appreciated his agreeable attitude. The Funeral was intended to be Graveside. Due to cold weather and rain the location was changed at the last minute to a location difficult to find.
Robert arrived one hour ahead, played outside twenty minutes as Guests arrived and closed the service with "Amazing Grace".
Not only is Robert a gifted musician, he is polite and very handsome.
