DESCRIPTION:
I am a classical pianist, available to play for events (weddings, cocktail hours) for which classical and classic popular music (Gershwin, Kern, Porter) are preferred. I have played since childhood, but my performing activities have come to the fore since my 2001 retirement from a long career in public music education. I have been active as a chamber musician and an accompanist. My solo repertory includes music by Bach, Chopin, Gershwin, Kern, Liszt, Mozart, Porter, Schubert, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Weill, and many others. Selection would be made in accordance with the customer's expressed preference. I am prepared to play music specifically appropriate to a particular event (wedding music, holiday music, etc.).

Mark added exactly the elegant, festive element that I sought for a small surprise birthday party in my apartment, and I would recommend him highly as a first-rate pianist for any setting. We hired Mark to play during the cocktail hour for my sisters wedding.
Mark was smooth, not overbearing and created a relaxing atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. He gave the affair an elegant touch that the bride and groom loved!
