DESCRIPTION:
Hi. I'm a professional classical guitarist available for weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions, dinner parties, corporate events and more. Since earning my masters degree in classical guitar from UT at Austin in 1995, I've played for hundreds of events around the Houston area and throughout Texas. I've also played with the Houston Grand Opera, Texas Music Festival Orchestra, Houston Sinfonietta and many other groups. I'm very dependable, professional, friendly and experienced. I'm known for a
broad repertoire of music that spans the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods, as well as arrangements of popular American standards, Latin and Spanish pieces and even Beatles and Led Zeppelin songs. I lightly amplify my guitar when needed so your guests can hear me at a comfortable level. My attire can be a tuxedo, coat and tie or casual, whatever fits your event. I can also put together various instrument combinations such as flute and guitar duo; violin and guitar; guitar duo and more. Thank you for your interest. One of the highlights of my wedding yesterday was having Mark as our classical guitarist for the reception. All of my guests LOVED Mark's playing. Everyone I spoke to raved about how beautiful and romantic the music sounded & that it complemented the lovely interior of Paraiso Maravilla perfectly. He really impressed everyone with his gifted playing, and he totally surpassed my expectations (which were already high since i heard the samples on his website). His professionalism and gentle, mellow nature made it a pleasure to work with him, and I would definitely recommend him to all my friends when they decide to get married!

Mark was a wonderful addition to our event. He arrived early and helped us through the "pre-show chaos" just like one of the team. As our business reception began, Mark's music set a perfect tone for mingling and shop talk and holiday cheer with clients, potential clients, and associates - exactly the ambiance we hoped to achieve. During the evening I received several compliments on the music specifically, and my boss is so impressed that I found this talented, accomplished professional to perform at our function. Mark was absolutely fabulous and very easy to work with. He had a large catalog and learned a new song for my ceremony. I was late to my ceremony and he kept everyone entertained. I got so many compliments on my guitarist. I highly recommend him.
