Ernie Mansfield

I perform as a solo flutist, pianist, reedplayer, or I can provide an accompanist (guitar or piano), or a full ensemble. I am a fully-trained classical flutist - and I also have vast experience as a jazz and folkloric player. I play all flutes, including silver, wood, bamboo, and ethnic flutes. Additionally, I play saxes, clarinet, keyboards, and synthesizers. I also play the EWI (Electric Wind Instrument). As a soloist, I have performed for every type of event, including sacred ceremonies and concerts. I also compose original music upon request. My ensembles include duos with guitar or piano; or full ensembles including bass and drums. We have performed concerts, private parties, festivals, and every type of event. I perform often with Mary Watkins (award-winning composer, and former pianist with Holly Near) and other highly accomplished recording artists of the San Francisco Bay Area. My ensembles provide a range of music, including classical, latin, and jazz. We provide music for dancing or for listening, depending on your needs.
