DESCRIPTION:

Allow us to provide you with beautiful, charming music to add that touch of class and elegance to your event! We are a group of highly skilled and experienced musicians based in Southern California. We have performed on TV for a hit series on ABC Primetime, and have recorded for Disney. We have also performed on cruise ships, weddings, parties and other functions for many years and perform classical music, jazz standards and other wedding and party favorites. All of our musicians have music degrees from such prestigious Universities as the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, England and University of California.
Some of the wonderful configurations that we have performed with at weddings and other events include a violin and guitar duo, Violin and Flute Duo, Violin and Oboe Duo, Violin and Cello Duo,classical, jazz and flamenco guitar solos, solo violin, solo piano, piano and string duos, jazz trios and quartets, string quartets, piano trios, flute,violin and guitar trios and violin, oboe and guitar trios and many more. There are samples of some of our groups on our webpage, but please don't hesitate to request demo tracks of some of our other groups. We love to put together the group which will be the perfect accompaniment to your engagement. We will tailor make our repertoire to suit your taste, and will add that touch of class and sophistication to any event.
The Atlantic String Ensembles are operated by Ellie and Brian Bunker, who perform regularly as a duo.
Ellie Bunker, Violin, BMus degree from Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, England plus postgraduate study in Austria. Has toured Europe extensively with her piano trio and performed with orchestras including the London Philharmonic.
Brian Bunker, Guitar, MA BA Univeristy or California. Worked professionally on cruise ships as a soloist, and in show bands and jazz ensembles. Performed in Europe as a soloist and chamber musician.

CLIENT FEEDBACK:
Atlantic String Ensemble recently played at our wedding ceremony on October 7th, 2006 in Palm Desert, California. They arrived on time and provided music prior to and during our ceremony.
Guests and I agreed that they sounded amazing!! Ellie is incredibly nice and accomodating. I enjoyed working with her very much. When their cellist had an unexpected injury just two days before our wedding, Ellie was able to secure an alternate with no problems. Although we had numerous sections during our Catholic ceremony that required music, the quartet was able to get the timing down easily. Also, the quartet was not familiar with a few of the pieces (Catholic hymnals) we requested, but found the sheet music and arranged it so that they could play the songs, which they did perfectly. My father-in-law told me after the ceremony that when he heard the quartet play Canon in D as I was walking down the aisle, it brought tears to his eyes because the music moved him so much.
I thought a string quartet would add an elegant touch during our ceremony, and that is exactly what I got with Atlantic String Ensemble. They are professional and extrememly talented. I definitely recommend them!

Hats off to Ellie and Brian who were willing to travel and play at our wedding held in a small, remote town in eastern California. They arrived early to setup and get situated. All of the arrangements for music and breaks were discussed via email in advance, so my husband, guests and I could focus on enjoying the wedding and not worrying about the details. They were very professional, and I would highly recommend them.

Atlantic Strings played at my wedding ceremony and they sounded absolutely gorgeous!! It was the perfect addition to my wedding and they even accompanied two of my friends as they sang one of my favorite arias and they did it perfectly! They were sooo sweet and accomodating and they made my wedding day that much more special. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them for any event that you might need a string quartet for and I would hire them again in a second.

Brian and Ellie Bunker are amazing and affordable. My only regret is that as the bride, I did not get the pleasure of actually meeting them in person. They were friendly, and kind, and the played 2 of my special requests with such excellence that it brought tears to everyone's eyes. I am more than pleased with their performance and will recommend them to my friends without hesitation. Thank you so much Brian and Ellie- you were completely AMAZING!!!!! This was my first time hiring an Ensemble for a party. The occasion was my parent's 30th Wedding Anniversary. I really appreciated the fact that Atlantic String Ensemble arrived very early to set up and prepare their instruments. They were very kind and patient and extremely professional. Their music made a huge difference in the reception, providing a comfortable ambiance. You didn't hear the clattering of utensils against dishes and loud converations amoungst the guests. It was perfect! The variety of music played was great...from the Beatles "Yesterday" to classical Bach "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring". I HIGHLY recommend Atlantic String Ensemble!
