DESCRIPTION:
Guitarist Don Sanni performs a wide range of solo, instrumental guitar music especially suited to create an intimate, relaxed atmosphere for wedding ceremonies, receptions, restaurants, parties, and concert settings. Mr. Sanni's repertoire starts with the renaissance and baroque lute music of Purcell and Bach, which he beautifully performs on a steel string guitar. If you are planning a renaissance wedding or party, Don can create this unique atmosphere, he even has period garb. Also in his repertoire are the classical styles of Sor and Guiliani. This music is what most people think of as "classical" guitar, with a lot of it having a romantic, Spanish flavor. It's fun and light and it works well as background music for receptions and the like. Don also performs guitar arrangements of pop tunes by artists such as the Beatles, Eric Clapton, and Steely Dan, among others. This material always goes over very well, and is a great contrast to the earlier music. One unique style of guitar that Don performs is Celtic music. This is ancient music from the British Isles, which was made popular through the show Riverdance and the movies Braveheart and Titanic. This music sounds fantastic on the guitar, and is definitely not something you hear everyday. If your having a special event why not special music? If a lighter mood is needed Don can also play some pickin' and grinnin' guitar, such as blues, ragtime, or a T.V. theme or two, as well as Christmas music for holiday parties. If your not sure on how to go about planning your wedding music, Don can guide you through it, or give musical suggestions. To sum it up simply, the music is smooth and relaxing. Mr. Sanni is a graduate of The New England Conservatory, with a degree in guitar performance. He was the winner of an international guitar competition, which led to a sponsorship through the Kramer guitar company. Don's playing and composing have been praised in "Guitar" magazine and he has written lessons for the Mel Bay Publication website, the largest publisher of guitar music in the world. Being that he is a full time, professional musician with over twenty years of performing experience, you can be sure of a quality performance. When not performing Don works as a guitar instructor in Nashua, NH where he teaches upwards of 50 students a week.

Don was amazing! I wanted a specific song for my bridal procession and he took the time to learn it perfectly. He was very professional at the wedding, but perhaps more importantly he was always very prompt and helpful in all our communications prior to the event. That was definitely helpful to a nervous bride :). His song selections during the cocktail hour were wonderful, and many guests complimented his talent. I would recommend him to anyone for any type of event!

We were very fortunate to find Don for our wedding ceremony. We had exactly 2 weeks to throw everything together and thought we would have to compromise on a quality musician to accomodate our request. Not true! Don was prompt in his reply and was very professional in his repore but most importantly is a very good musician. We wanted someone who could play classical and contemporary music, it was alot to ask of a musician, but he did both beautifully. We also dumped the burden of song choice on his lap and not only were we very satisfied with his choice of songs but we were very satisfied with his musicianship. In addition, his performance was tireless- he continued to play for the entire three hour period with only a couple of very short breaks. Our wedding DVD confirms the wonderful ambiance Don's performance added to the occasion. Thanks Don for being part of our special day! Oncore! ONCORE!

Don was GREAT! He worked up a special arrangment of a song a requested to walk down the aisle to, and he played many ohter songs so i could choose what it was i wanted to play for the other songs used at our wedding ceremony. I hired Don for my wedding and, I have to say, I couldn't have been more pleased. Don was early, professional, and his performance was perfect for our event. The venue posed some challenges in terms of set up, and Don had to move his equipment into a couple of different rooms because of what we were doing for the cocktail hour/ceremony/reception, and he handled everything perfectly.
It was a special evening and Don was a big part in making that happen. My wife and I were both thrilled with his performance and demeanor throughout the night, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented, professional and personable musician.

Couldn't be better. Don was very accomodating when we were selecting musicians, after we hired him, and on out wedding day. Not only did Don take the time to play some songs over the phone, he invited up to his home to hear his music on person. On the day Don arrived early, and played beautifully.
If you're looking for classical guitar, you really don't need to look any further.
